I got one, with my surname it stand out like a very devout and extremist name. Someone gave it.

My name implicit a story that talks about a man that did not listen to God.

Yes I do. However, in the name of staying anonymous, for the few people on here who know me and haven't figured out it is me, I will refrain from sharing it.

I was named after an aunt. I'm not particularly fond of my name.
Ironically her and I are the only two people in a huge family that have had breast cancer. The difference was she ignored it and I didn't.

That is cool.

All I wanted to check is the occurence of abrahamtic names. i got a very religous name thanks to the actions of the state where I live. My family got its surname about 200 years ago.

My name is like a name from a strict christian sect.

At my mission farewell, my mother bore tearful testimony of how she was unable to have children for years, so she prayed and prayed like Hannah and was blessed with a son. Now, she was sending me off in the service of the Lord, just like the Samuel of the Old Testament.

Another time she said in a talk that I was named after Samuel the Lamanite. :-/

I guessed your first name is Jonah. I can imagine some suitably extreme last names. Maybe you could use a "Jon" nickname, Jon or Jonny or something.

My name is Jeffrey. It means "God's peace." I find it a good name and am just thankful that I wasn't given some blatantly mormom moniker likke Nephi, Ammon or such.

Okay, how about these...Sarah, Aaron, Adam, Rachel, David for just a few of my convert daughter's inlaws. Yep, that convert Mom (daughter's mom in law) named her kids Christian names. She is uber Mormon to this day.

Yeah my RL name means christlike in some other languige. It buggs me that someone thought jto call me that knowing it's not easy to change. Feels like another lot of blackmail.

One is obviusly christian, the other is a viking name. My surname is pretty common so my given name doesn't strike anyone as particularly christian. Btw, if you add an 's' after your name it wouldn't stand out as particularly biblical here in sweden.

Yes, it has bothered me the last few years. But, then I thought more about it and realized that although people associate it with christianity, its origin is really greek. I feel much better now.
