Anyone who knows how to use a computer to visit the Mormon.org site also knows how to Google the word "mormon"--and they will. There the picture is not quite so flattering.

And that statement (by the PR rep) that you referred to in the article: "Web traffic is up tremendously--two to three hundred percent in some cases on Mormon.org, especially in the test market" is meaningless without his giving more information. "In some cases?" "Especially in the test market?" Let's see the hard data! (I won't be holding my breath.) My guess is that--if there is any credibility at all in this statement--the increases in web traffic are IMMEDIATELY after a commercial airs and ONLY in the test market areas. This is all typical, positive-spin, BS sales talk!

Thanks for the interesting link!

Fairly bold statement from the self-proclaimed "fastest growing religion in the world today" folks!

What a joke!

When you're talking about 30 hits instead of 10. :)

should result from an actual "test market" or any kind of real study, right?

"In some cases." Did they do several test markets, and include "some cases" which went up 200% and some 300%, and dump the other cases?

We can hope that more people on the Mormon website = more people searching for the truth.

Yep, people will open that can of worms, and decide against a candidate that wears magic cult underwear.

Maybe in very limited target markets, but the whole Alexa would beg to differ.
