'IF' the things mentioned in the JoD weren't 'church doctrine', why were they written down, collected-compiled, and published by the church?

Same goes for general conference.

Let's face it, apologists can spin scripture verse into non-doctrine with enough nuance and dissembling.

The Correlation program means that anything published before 1971 is not official doctrine. Not even the scriptures.

I'm being totally serious, as this was explained to me when I worked at the church editing and writing manuals.
