Hello. I'm new to the board, posted my leaving story yesterday. I'm curious how many of the members here are from central California, if any? I was a member in Modesto before I left for good in 03/04.

I'm originally from Stockton, and attended the 2nd Ward there for many years, until I left in 1981. Also spent a few years in Fresno. I lived in Modesto, too, but just between the ages of 3 & 5. I live in the Bay Area now.

That's central or southern, depending on how you define it.

Served my LDS mission in Central Cali

Without giving too much IRL... I'm close enough to occasionally head to Modesto for shopping/movies, etc.

But I go to central California quite frequently for work.

Cool. I'm actually in the Sacramento area now. I still consider Sac to be central CA, but I guess since there's so few major cities north of us, Sac ends up being considered North.

Yeah, I saw that...I'm going to be out of town from the 16th through the 28th (get to meet my in-laws in Iowa..."yay"), but I'll see about coming to the next one after I get back.

Cool! I can't remember where most of the wards were besides 5th and 6th, but I think I had some friends in 9th ward. Was that the southeast part of town, around the Dry Creek Park?
