Has this been talked about on here? I remember being told that someday the constitution would be hanging by a thread and a Mormon priesthood holder will need to step in to save it...I can just hear the Mormons saying "It's so exciting that we are seeing this prophecy come true!!!" For that reason alone, I hope Romney loses. So there was a book written in 1926 that prophecied about an African American president in the future...so just because Barack Obama became president this prophecy was fulfilled?! Lol Mormons are stupid. Sorry if that's a generalization, but most of them are. Do they not realize all the other "prophecies" that have been said that didn't come true? Joseph Smith stated that the second coming would come in his lifetime!!!! That didn't happen. I remember thinking that was weird as a teenager and leaders would always explain it away (in which it still made NO sense!) I make my point again...stupid.

If I were Michael Leavitt, right now, I'd be saying -- "Yes!
all we were taught in primary is now coming to pass!"

Or, at the very least, they have never endorsed it as authentic.

The morg may not endorse it but from what I know they've never come out and said it wasn't valid. I just spoke to a friend who said his exmo Mom's TBM friend excitedly told her yesterday on the phone that her ward in Orem is raving about it. Lol

"The so-called 'White Horse Prophecy' is based on accounts that have not been substantiated by historical research and is not embraced as Church doctrine."

Straight from the church's official press site. Can't get much more authoritative than that. So heed the counsel of the brethren, you giddy TBMs, and shut up.

The white horse prophecy did not surface in its entirety.until around 1900. However, the myth that some day the Mormons would save the Constitution can be seen multiple times in the Journal of Discourses. Nothing said in those quotes about a white horse.

Just do a search for the word "Constitution." http://www.jhuston.com/jod.htm
