I know it's all made up, and there are no real consequences, but what does the church say will happen if you just stop wearing garments but keep attending?

Yes, you'd lose your recommend, but beyond that are there any "blessings" you would lose?

Would you still be able to get the CK?

No more fire insurance for you.

Basically the garments are some sort of protection against Satan and other physical assaults. The garment's magical powers are based completely on how worthy a person is.

If you take off your garments then Satan will have more control over you to make you sin. It is kind of the same consequence if you break your temple oaths in this new round of temple movies.

The real consequence is that you immediately become more sexy and normal.

As as such might cheat on your spouse or wear shorter shorts.

I've wondered that too. I suppose that since it's a sign of breaking the temple covenants, you'd lose any blessings that you're supposed to get from making those covenants. (Is that just the "priests and priestesses" stuff? What other blessings are promised from being endowed?)

what even weirder is how would they know. Just because they can't spot any garment lines, lets say you wear clothing that is really long just because you want to. I guess if they asked straight out. but mabey you would not want to answer the question cuz you find it a form of sexual harassment. So I don't know if the would ever get to that place. unless there are some people on this board who have some examples, please share. XYZ no fire insurance for you !!!! thats way funny!!! like no soup for you!!!

If they do find out, does that put you in a position of church discipline at all, or no?

No more G's ?

Sometimes you have to "fire" the customer

In the case of you not wearing your garmos anymoe they
lost another source of income in their downline.

Well... that tall green bar on the left? It's church energy. It will start dropping. Then it turns red. Then it flashes red. If people don't put their power G's back on, it will be Game Over.

I, for one, feel much more godly and worthy without them. Wearing them seemed Satanic.

You get disapproving looks from jealous people.

Other than not getting your temple recommend renewed there is no official santion.

Most Mormons consider the protection of the garment to be spiritual and symbolic.

There are however, many social implications...

Give you the evil eye. Not renew your temple recommend. Lecture you. Little else.

You will get top billing in the rumor mill.
Your bish. will call you in to find out what's going on.
Your spouse will be suspicious to the point of divorce.
If you're female, it's assumed your a slut.
If you're male, you're cheating.
Your children will be humiliated.
Lots of people will hug you/feel up your shoulder or back.
Talks and lessons will be directed at you personally.
You'll be asked to do more church work.
your HT's and VT's will show up every month.

The "church" doesn't do anything, but, any members that notice will probably judge you. If the bishop finds out, he will likely want to "talk" to you and find out what the problem is.

This is my first summer without them in a long time. I'd forgotten how much cooler I am and how nice it is to be able to take your shirt off again. I'm not so "white and delightsome" anymore.
