There's no way in h*ll that thing can pull a chariot.

There isn't a two year old in this place that would call that a horse either!

But they are related to them haha

Brothers and sisters, we must look with our spiritual eyes...

Didn't you get the memo? Chariots are backpacks. Tapirs have no problem with little backpacks.

Where is your faith?

Perhaphs that Tapir could pull a small lightweight chariot without wheels....

A team of tapirs could pull a chariot easily. Or, better yet, they could carry litters on their shoulders.

I think we have it all wrong about the Tapir being too small to ride or be pack animals.

Its just that the Nephites & Lamanites were only 2 feet tall.

It all makes sense now.!

Willy Wonka enslaved all the Lamanites to work in his chocolate factory.

All we need is an Oompa Loompa DNA test and the BoM will be vindicated!

It probably was still more enjoyable than listening to that insufferable little s**t Nephi on the Sub o' Wood.

We have a winner! Somebody notify FAIR and FARMS--the debate about the tapirs is solved, and everyone's testimonies are safe again.

Tapir-back riders.

Perhaps a song could be written using the old Beatles song "Paperback writer" and substitute in "Tapir-back Riders".

On a serious note, I think it is less important to FAIR if a Tapir could pull a chariot, then that a bunch of rubes in Utah who have never seen one could be convinced that it could.

But did they have any Cureloms?

Cureloms were shape shifting tapirs that appeared to be really big to people etching or translating (cough cough) gold plates, but were really small when seen in the wild.

A tapir pulling a chariot would be like a 5-ounce bird carrying a 1-pound coconut.

Yes, but is it a European or a African Sparrow?

Tapirs. Chariots. It all works if the Nephites were leprauchans.

C'mon people. Use your brains. It's not that hard.

And if all the Nephites were that tiny, that explains a lot of other things too. Of course finding the remains of their civilization is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Makes sense to me.

where the little people are dancing around the 18" stonehenge!!!!
Hey FAIR. Turn it up to 11!
Ahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Tapirs were only used pull chariots carrying horse meat lunches for all those warriors walking beside the tapir pulling a chariot full of horse meat.

I think the problem isn't so much that there weren't animals that are big enough to pull chariots in the Americas. It is that there aren't any that can be domesticated. Moose can very easily be tamed and are more than large enough to pull a cart but they cannot be kept in captivity because they get sick without large quantities of foods that can only be found in the wild. They can't live off of grains like horses can.
