I have changed the lyrics of Alanis Morissette's song "Isn't it Ironic?" into "Isn't it Mormonic?" I tried to keep the rhyme scheme and syllable count the same. If any talented musicians want to sing these lyrics to Alanis' tune and put it on YouTube--feel free. I wrote it hoping somebody will.
In case you aren't familiar with the song-- here is a YouTube link:

--------------------------------------
A glass looker found gold plates.
A deviant con man, leader of the saints.
He wrote Mormon rules he didn't obey.
Preaching fidelity while he's getting laid.
And isn't it Mormonic? Don't you think!
It's like blood oaths on your wedding day.
You get free agency but you must pray, pay, obey.
It's a full tithe when the bills aren't paid.
Ignore your thoughts! Read scriptures.
Elder Peter Priesthood was forced to lie.
Served a mission and kissed his life goodbye.
He waited his whole damn life just to bed a wife.
And as she recoiled in disgust he thought
"Well isn't this nice?"
And isn't it mormonic? Don't you think!
It's like blood oaths on your wedding day.
You get free agency but you must pray, pay, obey.
It's a full tithe when the bills aren't paid.
Ignore your thoughts! That's Satan!
The prophet has a funny way of making a profit of you.
When you think you helped feed the poor but he built a mall.
And truth has a funny way of helping you see that native Americans aren't Lamanites and have no Jewish DNA.
It's fast Sunday but you already ate.
No coffee allowed on your coffee break.
It's like singing Love One Another while fighting gay rights.
It's marrying the man of my dreams
And then meeting his ten plural wives.
And isn't it mormonic? Don't you think!
A little too mormonic. And, yeah, they really don't think.
It's like blood oaths on your wedding day.
You get free agency but you must pray, pay, obey.
It's a full tithe when the bills aren't paid.
Who would've thought of tapirs?
Lies have a funny way of being found out.
Truth has a funny way of helping you out, helping you out.
