What will happen next? It has been a week and no book was delivered, no mishies appeared on my porch, etc.

They will probably show up eventually.

The way it works is that your name gets given as a referral to the missionaries who cover your address. I believe it usually takes more than a week. If the missionaries are lazy enough you may never see it.

I'm am a woman who lives alone. They won't want to enter my home, right, for any sort of chat - since I obviously might ravage them at the first opportunity, right?
Might they just hand it to me and leave?
Or bring reinforcements (a female member)?

They will probably talk to you at the door and attempt to set up an appointment for the first discussion. If you agree to an appointment they will bring a third male along.

On my mission we were not supposed to meet with a single woman unless we had a 3rd male with us (someone from the local ward.) We tended to be somewhat cavalier in following that rule.

Note: They can't bring a female member because then they would be alone with the female member who also might want to ravage them ;) Seriously...

What's the reason for the third man? If I were a woman leaving alone, I'd be even less inclined to allow three guys in my home than two.

1) If any allegations come up of sex or abuse there are more witnesses.

2) They don't trust missionaries not to have sex. This is probably based on experience that they can't trust missionaries.

Because if a woman's vagina is going to suck you into Narnia - you need at least three people to battle the White Witch.

I don't know, but now your iPad has part of it's memory that contains stuff akin to a damaged file, and while it can be accessed, makes no sense at all.
