What was up with those socks we used to have to rent at the temple?

Most of you probably know the ones I am talking about, the white, super thin socks that you could almost see through. I mean the disposable socks that Payless shoes has for their customers who come in wearing just sandals are a better quality.

I think they were called "mens hosiery."

2 pieces of clothing that I do not like to share or use others', beyond the obvious, are socks and hats. It was very hard for me in the temple. It didn't matter that they had been washed. I bought my own hat and socks.
