The Southern Utah Post-Mormon Lecture series will be held Sunday October 7th, 2 PM at the New Lexington Hotel- 850 S. Bluff St. St. George Utah.

I had a friend that had invited me before, but he moved recently.

We are secular in that we do not promote an alternative religion, however embrace diversity as some desire a more liberal religious view. Many identify as agnostic, rationalist, skeptic and atheist. Attempt to support through association with like minded people and empower through confirming the Churches faith destroying history.

Have no fear Fidget! It isn't anything like TSCC. I've been to a couple of them--there were 30-50 people (does that sound right Soutskeptic?). You can talk to other people after or just leave. sit in the back if you want to. No one is going to be assigned as your HT. There is no "right" way to be an exmormon--i think most of us realize and respect that.

If I am not dead from the Marathon on Saturday then I will try to come. I'd like to meet some more exmos.

We really aren’t obligated to answer everyone’s questions. I’ve not had all of my questions answered. The Lord hasn’t chosen to do that. He probably hasn’t answered all of yours and nor are we obligated to answer everyone else’s questions. As Latter Day Saints you all ready know more about God and Christ and the Plan of Salvation than anyone who will attack you.

onendagus is one of the quality folks one gets to meet at the lectures, has even helped line us up with a great speaker who will be speaking at the Ex-Mormon Conference. Wish onendagus lived closer he would definitely be part of our Southern Utah Ex/PostMormon management Team.

Have you ever forwarded along an email and someone responded back telling you they had fact checked it and it is bogus? How does it reflect upon your character that you forward on emails not caring if they are true or not.


In this Skeptic's view, step one for Critical Thinking is being willing your own assumptions.


Edmund Way Teale stated: It is morally as bad not to care whether a thing is true or not, so long as it makes you feel good, as it is not to care how you got your money as long as you have got it.
