In exactly one hour I'll be in front of a group of LGBT Latinos to deliver a presentation about two gay (ex)Mormons -- me and my cousin -- and the intersections between our religious upbringing, sexual orientation and ethnic identity. It has some academic stuff (discourse analysis), hair-raising escapades we shared with each other over Facebook PMs this past year, and some creative writing. I expect it will be informative for the audience and extremely cathartic for me. So here goes....!

Good luck. If you get nervous, just imagine the audience wearing underwear. Just make sure it is ugly, unattractive underwear, like garments, so you don't end up sporting an erection in front of the crowd though.

The session went really well! The people who attended said really positive things and it was clear that they understood the plight of the LDS gay guy better after hearing the stories I told. I played a recording of my cousin saying how coming out and leaving the church made him feel like a human being for the first time in his life--very powerful. There were some well-known theater writers in attendance who think there's potential for a play of some sort. I'll definitely explore the idea a bit.

Are you ex-gay mormons, or exmormon gays.
I'm unsure as to your description.
