After all my days in the LDS Church, I never knew that the word Exaltation was not in the Bible or Book of Mormon! It is a word that the LDS church made up to describe the difference between Everlasting or Eternal Life (The Free Gift to All because of the Atonement)and Exaltation (Living in the Celestial Kingdom). I remember as a missionary saying that yes I am saved, everyone is saved and will live again, but it doesn't mean that I will live in "heaven". That, I explained, is Exaltation. Not a free gift! Can anyone tell me if I am wrong about his Exaltation thing?

Yes, I have looked. The word is in the Topical Guide in the (Mormon) edition of the Bible, but it never uses the word Exaltation in any verse!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...(free of any possible pro-Mormon bias) shows the usage of forms of the verb "to exalt" in the Bible, but the NOUN "exaltation" appears *nowhere* in the Bible.

It's Joseph's myth.

I know it is a word, but mormons claim it means living with God. Not in the Bible or other scriptures.

They think they are high and lifted up above everyone else - the elect of God.

Definition of EXALTATION. 1: an act of exalting : the state of being exalted . 2: an excessively intensified sense of well-being, power, or importance

Webster's Dictionary (Long before Mormonism)

Interesting meaning about the "sense of power and importance"
