When I was a boy my father wouldn't give me lunch money, so I stole Hostess Fruit Pies from a general store. They fit right in my jacket pocket and were packed with calories and flavor. Thank you, Hostess, for feeding me when I hungered, may you rest in peace.

maybe your father just wanted to be sure that you had a burning in your bosom every day...
.
...even if it was from starvation.

btw-my favorite flavor was berry.

I forgot to say that was school lunch money. I went hungry there while tithing and fast offerings (ain't it ironical?) were dutifully paid.

as michael palin (and maybe your father) would say...
'god has blessed us so much, i can't afford to feed you'.

at least he didn't sell you for medical experiments.
