Trader Joe's California Estate olive oil recently got one of the highest ratings from Consumer Reports. It's relatively inexpensive, too. It beat Whole Food's 365 (which CR also likes,) as well as the supermarket brands (Pompeiian, Fillipo Berio, Bertolli, etc.) by a mile.
CR *loves* Trader Joe's Charles Shaw Merlot at $3 (is that the "2 buck Chuck?) What a shame that the SLC branch can't carry it.
Yep, that's it. I had a bottle of their Charles Shaw cabernet this week, and it's not bad for $3. It's simple, goes with everything, and has a nice deep color.
A Trader Joe's just opened in Sarasota, which is 45 minutes south of where I live. I might make the drive and check it out sometime.
Congrats to SLC exmos on your new TJ's! It has landed in your city just in time for you to stock up on Peppermint Jo-Jo's, which are a must have, especially since you are deprived of Two-Buck Chuck.
