...a creepy bearded man holding children, like the kind that has inundated my FB feed today in the wake of the truly horrific CT shootings. That's right - from TBM land I am getting a veritable stream of pictures of an old guy with a beard (Jesus?) holding little children with creepy smiles on their faces.

Am I the only one who finds this a bit creepy?

Why the hell wasn't he stopping the gunman instead of waiting around to hug little kids?

I guess the bearded dude was too busy waiting to greet them on "the other side" to stop the deranged gunman. And it creeps me out how all my TBM FB buddies are patting themselves on the back that it will all be OK because Jeebus is hugging those kids on the other side now. No problem.

That's what all those creepy pictures say to me...

A careful reading of the book of Job could yield the very likely possibility that god sent the gunman to the school on purpose..

The Book of Job is one of the strongest reasons to not worship/believe in the Abrahamic god.

There are many others but even when I was a believing Mormon, the Book of Job really, REALLY bothered me.

Everyone of those that I see pop on my newsfeed is getting this:

"Using a tragedy to push your religion (regardless of what it is) is sick."

I can't look at FB for awhile because of all the self righteous bastards "praising" Jesus for what happened and using those sick pictures to push their beliefs.

The whole "he is in heaven with a god that allowed such a horrible thing to happen in the first place" just freaks me out.

If god wanted to call them to heaven, call them while they sleep, peacefully, you know, in a LOVING way. Not that taking kids from there parents is "loving".
