...describes herself as a Molly Mormon who is searching for her Peter Priesthood. She claims she is proficient at baking, making home-made candy, jello, casseroles, making quilts, sewing, keeping the kitchen spotless, spends lots of time scrapbooking, already has 7 children, alwayws wears her garments, attends new temples when she is out of town, is faithful to her covenants, always completes her visiting teaching on time. She desires a man who will honor his priesthood and take her through eternity.

Sounds like quite a catch, huh??

"...learned the hard way about birth control..."

Did she really throw in the part about 7 kids after scrapbooking?

What happened to her DH? Did he split to find someone with 9 kids?

He probably got tired of being nagged to have a perfect HT record.

I especially like the part about always wearing her garments. Hot.

...She did not comment on why the marriage failed. Perhaps her DH did not FULLY honor his priesthood. Maybe the bishop advised her to kick him to the curb if he's not on track to someday call her out of the grave by her new name. Possibly the DH was itchy for an adventure.....a female with a free spirit, one who will try new sexual things, one who is a bit more independant, professional, intellectually challenging. who knows....

It's complicated, boils down to insecurity and dependancy...but a "worthy priesthood holder" is the equivalent of the proverbial poodle. Leading...on a leash, for show.

My wife used to pull "you're the man" and "you're the priesthood holder" sh1t on me...to manipulate me.

What happened to her DH? I'm betting that he was addicted to Mormon Porn... Damn that Victoria's Secret catalog!

All she wants is a peter priesthood to get her into "heaven".

Yea – this were the days.
What’s wrong whit a woman who likes to be a housewife? Why not if this is what she would like. I know many women who would like this kind a lifestyle and they had never heard about LDS.
But she should add for the potential interested party (if he don’t know), that this lifestyle has a price tag.

That means that this man has to have a certain income, bank account and savings.
That’s means also:
I go shopping with your credit cart and I don’t even want to know how a utility bill looks like.
That means minimum every 2 years a brand new Volkswagen Sharan and minimum twice a year going on vacation.
That means also living in a certain house in a certain neighborhood.
That means weekly beauty shop and nail studio visits and it means to maintain a certain status in the society.

That means it is very, I mean very expensive.

If she don’t know it than it’s bad. If he and she don’t know it than go ready for a crash.

It sounds like the kind of ad my own grandmother could have (mostly) written, but that would have been in the 1920's. When her first husband died, she needed a new husband to provide for her and her children. My grandfather in turn needed someone to provide a home and mothering for his own children.

But times have changed. I think it would be very hard to find a man who is willing to take on seven children who are not his own. But perhaps she will.

My take is that she seems rather rigid in character and personality. That, IMO, is her larger problem.

I agree with you that it would be a very nice thing to be a SAHM or a SAHW. It seems that she enjoys it.

The nice thing about our society is that everyone can openly announce what kind of lifestyle they want.
To be a so called “only housewife” is not bad at all. The one would like to become a doctor, the next would like to be a car sales woman. She wants to become a professional housewife. What’s wrong with that? But she has to find a wealthy partner to fulfill her dream.
I only want to point out, that this lifestyle comes with a price tag on it.
Well how to find a wealthy man that would like to have a family that comes in this packed size is questionable. But if he has 7 on his own, why not?

If she finds a priesthood holder with 7 children maybe she can have her own Brady bunch.

She had my attention at candy making, she kind of lost it with scrap booking and garment wearing.

There were hundreds of these types of profiles on LDS Planet when I was single. I would look at the descriptions and laugh for hours at the ideas these women had about life. So out of touch.
