My dear husband passed in his sleep peacefully without pain at 8:45 this a.m. I must have awakened just when he passed! I think he must have told me!

It's an amazing time in our lives for our family and wonderful friends. It's filled with love and sadness, and joy and laughter. His work is done. He is no longer suffering.

I want to express my thanks to our wonderful Hospice team of some of the most incredible women I have ever met. They took great care of my husband with compassion and kindness, and me too!

Thank you to those on RFM for their support and compassion. It is much appreciated.

our week was turned upside down by the suicide of one of my wife's closest friends.

and even at the funeral today, I was wondering how things were going for you.

Glad you had an incredible experience with hospice. Glad our country has finally figured out how to process this stage of life.

hugs and kisses.

Take special care of yourself . My own dear gentle 96 year old father is dying now. Amazingly, he is in the same room now with my mother, who has had dementia for 8 years. He was lucid Thursday and held her hand and said goodbye. She managed to say his name. Heartbreaking and joyous at the same time.

I know you will be with him again. I had a near-death-experience and there was nothing Mormon about it. Time doesn't heal all wounds. It lets you eventually develop scarr tissue so you can keep your sanity. Take your time.

I am so thankful for Hospice and how they helped us to let Dad die at home. Hopefully Mom can too.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My mom passed away about 18 months ago and my brother followed her last year. My mother had hospice care from the nearby polygamous community from Colorado City. The girl was actually really nice. Funny thing is when it was time to go to bed, she would climb in bed with my mom - kinda sweet. She was also rather good looking even though she dressed in the usual pioneer dress and bonnet with the poofy doo they typically put their hair in. She was probably a bit of a rebel though as she would sit in my mom's room with her Macbook laptop and watch youtube videos - I don't think computers are allowed.
