That's pretty lame. You'll probably have lots of babies but how often do you get a chance to meet BC? j/k

Meeting me may be painful, but not that painful.

That's right around the corner from where I work. It's a good area. The Awful Waffle is located in a strip mall with a Best Buy, a Home Depot, and a whole bunch of other things.

Tuesdays is our scout night. Any Sunday times in the future? Our Sunday's are a bit freed up.

I'll probably never be there on a Sunday because I fly in Sunday night and out Friday, but the rest of you are welcome to set something up on a Sunday - the dinner the 31st is a Thursday night - I don't know if that helps any?

Hahahaha I know ATL pretty well. Long story. If you like Thai food, try the Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft in Midtown. Nice place. Don't miss Fat Matt's BBQ either.

Atlanta Exmos - get it together. Waffle House --really? Lindberg Plaza a bad neighborhood??? Get out of the suburbs much?

This is a very poor way to treat an out of town guest. Take it from this Midtown resident, the ATL is capable of much, much better than a crappy Waffle House in a boring neighborhood. The best place to gather is the Brickstore in Decatur--a smoke-free Belgium bar with an awesome selection of brews. If Brickstore is busy, walk around the Square to Leon's. Fox Bros has the best BBQ, period. The Vortex, either the one in LP5 or Midtown, has the best burgers in the city. Or do breakfast for dinner at the original flying biscuit in Candler Park. None of these places are expensive or pretentious places. Much better places to hangout and chat.

I am sure Flyboy can vouch for the above.

Tin Drum Asia is right down the street from the Awful Waffle. It's good, it's different, it's inexpensive.

Should we switch to Tin Drum Asia? (If yes, I'll just edit my stuff about above with a note.)

Amen. Unfortunatley the wait is typical over an hour for dinner and lousy parking.

I know it an ATL icon but I'm not a Waffle House fan. As Jeff Foxworthy said, "Picture the nastiest gas station bathroom you've ever seen... that also served waffles."

That's why I suggested Tin Drum Asia. It's "pan-Asian" and it's rather good. I've eaten there before. Here's a link to the menu:

How're we going to know one another, and who's actually going to show?

Usually what we've done is just the day off post what you are wearing and a quick description of what you look like.

If I can make it I'll be the hippie with the salt and pepper beard wearing a plaid shirt who shows up in a yellow VW bus.

Can definitely back up the Vortex but haven't tried the other two--heard lots about them. Can vouch about that Waffle House although I've eaten at that very one on many occasions. Don't ask hahaha. $2 chocolate chip waffles do it for me when I'm loaded.

Oh and bc, don't miss Inserection. Tipping my forefinger on the side of my nose right now.

Tin Drum Asia

I'm blond - balding, 5'7", 40 years old, short beard. I'll probably be wearing tan pants and a black long sleeve shirt.

I answer to Brian, bc, or hey ugly.
