How do you find out your church record number?

Was just wondering how do you know or find out your church record number?


After being in-active for so long I would like to formally resign from TSCC. Would I need my number to properly resign?
(Thank you to this website also for all the information! never knew I had to or could)

I also don't live in the states (New Zealand) so is there anything different I have to do to resign?

Also what do I actually have to do to get away?

The only way to get your membership number is to call your ward clerk. I did this two months ago.
My number was not on any of my church documents.

I'm really glad that we have enough Morg paperwork around that house with my membership number on it, so that when I finally can resign, I don't have to call anyone. (n/t)

Hey another Kiwi! I'm from NZ too. Its nice knowing there's ex-mos out here too.

You don't need a church record number to resign.

The office workers in SLC have computers. If you tell them your name and birth date they can look it up if they need it.

You shouldn't need your membership number to resign - name and birthdate is sufficient.
