I know it's not a major one like the provability of the BoA being made up, but what would a TBM think when it's pointed out that, even though billions of non-mormon people have lived on earth, dead-dunking names have been recycled over and over and over, far beyond a clerical error statistic and what a waste on members' time it is, when we're talking supposedly eternal consequences for the dearly departed!

I guess you could also point the not-very-inspired day-of-the-month temple name list, but that's sacred. not secret....... :-)

He's being generous as well, by only looking at the current world population. If you're looking at all the humans who have ever lived, the total will be over 36 billion. All the Mormons who have ever lived wouldn't even add up to a hundredth of a percent.

Fwiw, when I mentioned to my DH that names are ran through the temple multiple times, he did his "no they're not," thing because despite how brilliant he is, it was so contrary to what he'd been taught all of his life that he couldn't believe it was true.
