A Letter to Boyd from A Mad Scientist

Boyd,

All of your homophobia aside there was something driving me mad about your speech. You called gravity a "law." Call me nit-picky, but this simply isn't true. Gravity isn't a law, it's a theory-- like evolution or the big bang. And you're right saying we shouldn't vote laws away, so please -PLEASE- let us teach evolution in schools. It has more evidence than your silly, "You-can't-be-born-gay" theory.

Get with your principles.

Along with electromagnetism and the weak and strong nuclear forces?

It can be a force, we can plug it into a formula, we can feel it every day but it's still a theory. We do not know what causes it. Contemporary thinking places is it as a consequence of the general theory of relativity.

One thing about science is that we can never prove something, only disprove it ;)
