Not trying to diminsh the sadness of the story but why is there always a "prompting" after the fact or just prior to the accident or miracle when the promting on this one should have been to call the kid up and say " hey don't go hiking..lets hang out "

My son in law works with a guy whose house was destroyed by a falling tree. The guy is just thankful that because he had a son out on a mission he was "blessed" that the tree fell during the day when no one was home so no one got hurt. If God was going to "bless" him why couldn't he push the tree the other direction.
