Voltaire, thank you, your reply told me kind of what I was afraid of. I am going to have to really read up, like I told her I was going to, to be able to take her on. It is going to take a hell of a lot of logic to combat her emotions.

You have so much going for you that I know you will find everything you need to combat the Mormon church's misinformation campaign. There are a ton of people here at RfM who are well-versed in the necessary responses to the church's efforts. PFLAG is usually another excellent source of local information: if you live in a Mormon-heavy location the people you can talk to will have had extensive experience with exactly the same issues you're dealing with. And yes, unfortunately you and your brother will have to do those reading assignments, but information is always empowering. :-) A lot can be accomplished with humor, and I hope your family has a good measure of that because it will help pull you through the tough spots.
