There was some unnecessary drama today. But I think a lot of it has passed now.

I wrote a lot and will continue to be writing.

And what about the rest of ye?

I was wondering where you were, Raptor! Sleep, darlin'. Beautiful, uninterrupted Sunday nap. (Too d@mn hot to go anywhere outside in Florida). And good food. DH has been cooking since early a.m. Nothing special. Just feeding our bodies and spirits.

;o)

And I've been away due to a slight injury that kept me a pirate for a few days.

But a sexy pirate as several people have messaged me.

I relaxed with a nice cup of coffee this morning and did some web surfing. Then I went out antiquing and grocery shopping in the P.M. When I got home, I put kitty on a leash and took him out for a pleasant walk.

I'm currently house sitting at my brother's lovely bayside home. So right now I'm enjoying a chilled glass of wine and fully appreciating the 180 degree water views. Life is good! :-)

Nothing exciting here. I just shopped and got a bunch of errands done, since everything will be closed tomorrow for Canada's birthday.

I am reading the fascinating tell-all (re polygamy and the Mormons in 1875) by Fanny Stenhouse. Wow, mindblowing!

I also learned today that when Thoreau wrote Walden's Pond, he was very close to his mom's house and visited her often so she could do his laundry and he could eat her pies!

Hubby is so tired from work he's snoring quietly right now and our dog sleeping next to him. Our pooch is running in his sleep. His little legs are just twitching away.

I am trying not to laugh too loud, lest I wake them both!

Its one of the best books on Utah history I've read! She paints a very clear picture of the character ( or lack of!) of Brigham Young. What a pig!

If you haven't yet read Baskin's book, "Reminiscences of Early Utah", it's a good one to follow up with.

I just picked my wife up from the airport (Yay! No more masturbation! Until tomorrow).

We're going to hide from the sun for the rest of today, relaxing in front of the fan with a cool drink or two or many. One advantage to the heat: my young children are too miserable to move, so I don't have to either.

Then I went and purchased a very ugly women using cows as currency.

Then I looked at porn for three hours, drank two bottles of whisky and had relations with 5 hookers.

I smoked 5 cigars.

I also talked to a democrat and had some impure thoughts about my neighbors wife.

I also spent all my child support money on legos.

Oh! I also used the lords name in vane, repetitively for 2 hours straight.....

All in all a very busy day....

Walked the dog, relaxed this morning, then went up to Denver to watch the NHL draft at a sports bar, missed the storm at home, helping kid pack for camping trip, making dinner soon.

UU today for the final sermon by our lead minister, who is retiring. I will miss him. He'll be opening a counseling practice in the near future and perhaps I will see if he can help me work out a few things in myself.

Some shopping, some Facebook time, some reading, some housework, otherwise. Need to call my mom, who had her gall bladder out and see how she's doing, especially with the heat. She live in Palm Springs. That ought to be lovely.

Glad you are healing up, and whatever every drama that was being played out is over.

Non-mormon relatives visited. We went out to a nice little lake, swimmed, played with the kids, drank a few beers, barbequed, picked wild strawberrys. It's been a good day.

Sorry to hear about the drama, Raptor J. Glad it's passed and hope the writing continues to go well and bring fulfillment.

'Twas a happy frogdogs Sunday in Florida. Outstanding wake-up sex. Brunch on the beach with friends, one of whom brought killer spicy bloody marys. Walked dogs, successfully repotted two orchids, found favorite sunglasses that had been missing for months, and made a ton of progress on an old needle point project I keep trying to finish.

Dinner coming up: sage grilled pork chops, leftover roasted acorn squash and a caesar salad.

Layed in bed this morning listening to the people arrive at the the church next door at 9:00 a.m. and loved the fact that I would not be joining them.

Cleaned the bathrooms.

Sewed a really pretty pillow that looks like a rose.

Started another pillow that looks like a daisy.

Brought home dinner from Panda Express and ate too much. I should go for a walk, but it's still over 100 degrees, so I'm going to have to wait until it cools off a little.

I have to decide whether to treat myself to some chocolate Haagen-Daz Icecream or an orange sherbet float. That will happen later tonight while I watch a movie.

Recovering from a week in the hinterland with family, in a musty cottage on a tiny lake with no cell coverage. There were snakes and howling animals and country music. I broke a nail rowing a boat. I stepped on a frog. I have probably contracted some skin-melting infection from the creatures infesting the glacial lake. Did I mention family?

I hope your injury is improving and that you are feeling better, Raptor Jesus. Glad to know your novel is coming along, too.

My apostate Sundays are all about sailing, hiking, art movies, brunch, baking/cooking and relaxing with friends. This Sunday involved sitting on a boat with friends while solving the problems of the US Border Patrol (ha!), then going to see the Pride Parade.

My DH and I went to the wellness center we often hang out at.

We spent about a half hour playing in the basketball court, then I spent an hour training for a 5K I plan to run in this fall.

After that, we went swimming in one of their huge, indoor swimming pools.

I'm tired now, but feel great!

(Oh, yeah, we had to pass within a block of the LDS church to get to the wellness center. It was great to know we didn't have to pull in to that parking lot!)

Slept in way too late, played on the internet, went to Costco and drove home past the church drinking coffee - always a favorite Sunday activity. Got harassed by Mormons but got a rum and Coke out of the experience. Went for a long drive by myself, singing. Pretty average Sunday, all things considered.

I went to church for an hour. We started off with the best song "I'm Walking on Sunshine" while about 50 beach balls were being tossed all over the auditorium. :)

Went shopping with the hubby. Had a cold Starbuck's drink. Made a seafood chowder for dinner. Finished buying the girls their school supplies. Road our bikes.

We had family and family friends visiting over the weekend, so the last of them left this morning. Started out the morning with a nice chat over breakfast, and a walk in the park. Then the kids and I hung out and played a game together for a couple of hours, after which most of us went and took nice, long naps.

Then fed seagulls out by the river for a while, cold sandwiches for dinner, and now we're all just hanging out doing our own things before bed. It's been a lovely, relaxing day. :)

Fixed myriad computer issues for my elderly mother. Did a whole bunch of homework (finishing my BA late in life - I'll be done in 8 weeks, but who's counting). Hung out three loads of laundry on the clothesline. Read. Wished my crowd phobia wouldn't keep me away from the Pride parade. Beautiful day here in the Midwest.

Did some cooking for elderly mother. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast washed down with yummy coffee. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes for Sunday dinner. I did some of her laundry and read the Sunday paper. Brief nap and then we watched our favorite program on PBS. I'm also in midwest and it was a cool and breezy day. Pure heaven.

Did some grocery shopping and ran into my ex-brother-in-law whom I have not seen for more than five years since his daughter's wedding. Since my sister divorced him (not divorced for any church reasons) this man lives on Slim Fast, yogurt, and Cheetos...I am not lying. No vegetable or fruit of any kind has passed his lips in probably twenty years. He is 60 but looks more like 75. But he is slim ; )

It was 107 degrees today. Turned the a/c on, read RfM, watched HGTV, and a show called "Property Ladder" with Doug Wilson. I swear I was on a flight to Atlanta and he was on the plane (he denied he was Doug Wilson)-maybe not.

Looked at the clock and thought that I would be teaching primary at that moment. So happy I was released and that I was home in my a/c with clean bathrooms!

I would definitely keep my mission journals for the memories. I would also probably keep one quad so I could mark all of the concerning scriptures like D&C 132 and have it ready if a TBM ever bothered me.

Lemme see...

I slept in until 9:30 (nine hours of sleep, yea!!!).

In an unusual move, my TBM wife blew church off.

The weather was absolutely fabulous today. The front garden was absolutely beautiful with a rose bush in bloom and the day lillies just starting to bloom.

I finished cutting the piece-parts for new woodworking bench I am building.

I went to practice with a new rock band I am playing a gig with in a couple weeks. The level of musicianship is very high and they are very personable and a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to playing with them some more.

I made a run to get carryout for dinner.

I assembled some more of woodworking bench.

I am chilled out on the computer including writing this post.

All in all a wonderful day!

Thank you for asking; it was rather a lovely Sunday. It was hot and the sun was shinning.
I had a little lie in, cooked Sunday lunch and watched the British Grand Prix.
In the afternoon took son to practise with a band whilst hubby and I sat on a beautiful village green, surrounded by old cottages and thatch houses and had some 'us' time chatting and reading our books.
Most pleasant x
