I think others will work to minimize what he has said, but I do not expect any statement from anyone of power that would indicate that that there was anything wrong with what Packard said.
I think some time in the future, TSCC and it apologists will say that Packard was speaking as a man, but that will be when TSCC has changed its claims and is looking to paint itself as always being pro gay, just like they now seem to claim they were never prejudice against blacks.
He's merely saying what most of the hierarchy thinks but are not willing to say. They label Packer 'the grizzly bear' but he is— to use his own phrase— useful. He's willing to give the hard party line and be the dick.
