I'm staying anon for this one--the mission president and his wife are old friends of mine, and they know I'm inactive. They are sweet people, but don't really get it as to why people leave the church for reasons other than "wanting to sin."

What does it mean that the mission is now online? Is it completely online? Does this mean no more going from door to door? What does that mean, exactly?

I think this will blow-up in the church's face--I don't want missionaries contacting me online anymore than I want them coming to my door. I don't think online proselyting will have the same impact as teaching someone one-on-one.

I also think missionaries will be contacting boyfriends and girlfriends via email and Facebook. And the opportunity to research church doctrine and history--yup, this is gonna blow up in the church's face.
