What bothers me is that a person can't confess (except masturbation) for themselves without confessing for someone else. When my daughter was a college freshman - 19 years old - the young man she was dating confessed THEIR activity which was kissing. Face and neck. Big deal, right? My daughter would not have confessed because she didn't see anything wrong with it. Even so her name was dragged through the mud as this missionary-to-be cared more about assuaging his guilt than protecting her reputation. This may not fall under this heading because they were not children. Still makes my blood boil.

This needs more exposure than Facebook. Can someone write an article for one of the online news groups? Like the Huffington Post or Slate?

Someone needs to mention that in mormonism there is no equivalent to the Catholic "seal of the confessional".

Many outsiders, even non-catholics, hear the term confession and draw an unwarranted parallel.

I just read your other post. Unbelievable and there is no problem with you writing to them in anger. What was done is horrible. Perhaps shoot them a link to the facebook page. It is sickening that a grown man would talk to a 14 year old girl like that. Total perverts, perverted by power.

I agree Susan I/S. I "Liked" the page. I was not sure I should because I am an "apostate" Ha Ha. IMO, exposing these interviews might help investigators rethink joining TSCC. I am pretty sure they are not told of the interviews before baptism.

There's no reason clergy (of any kind) should be interviewing children alone and behind close doors. It puts the child at risk and the adult at risk of being falsely accused. The mormon church is so full of secrets. It's disgusting!

Oh my gosh, I'd love that too. I hope they ask Holland. He's such a dunderhead. Or better, someone so arrogant that he really comes across badly. Hard to narrow down who that would be.

Someone should ask Glenn Beck on his show if his bishop ever asked him (I know he's a convert but I'd love to see him justify the practice used by his church).
