However, since I am guessing his temple work has been done, he is smiling down from the CK.

Years passed, the only thing I learned is that I known life but feel empty. All we got is the present. Forget the search for happiness. Being content is worth more. Every night I go to sleep I feel death-anxiety. Like being young again.

I guess Layne was looking for happiness, the search become like a drug.
