NT APOSTLES: Given great commission, serve largely as missionaries LDS APOSTLES: Visit church members almost exclusively
NT APOSTLES: Go without purse or scrip LDS APOSTLES: Fly first class, expense account, eat at the best restaurants
NT APOSTLES: Stoned/boiled/crucified for faith, square off with political leaders even if it gets them killed LDS APOSTLES: Visit wards/stakes of adoring fans, have security, don't go anywhere near evil political leaders to preach repentence or take them to task
We believe in the same oranization that existed in the primitive church: Namely businessmen, expense accounts, rock stat status, billion dollar malls, Armani suits and so forth....
Some precepts that drew me into the church and refined my personality (for awhile) were the concepts of humility. Being Christlike. Being equal with all others. After awhile I discovered that not everyone plays by those rules.
