I, too, a dumbfounded by your wife's response to all the damning evidence. But we shouldn't be surprised, I've heard a few LDS women claim that if the prophet commanded it, they'd be okay with it. How would he know? Studying Comparative Religion or other similar courses does not cut it, it is objective and lacks the "faith" to know that other churches are true. He has never lived another religion, so he can't say that Mormonism is "the best" (by what standard?) out there? How does he know he won't quickly climb up the ranks of Scientology, or Masonry?

A TBM posted this on her wall and I commented that women will still have to defer to the priesthood and no program will get approved without the brethren creating and participating in its conception.
