I did not realize that in the 1990s the requirement in wedding vows for wives to state they will obey their husbands was removed. I was married before the removal so I had to abide by the covenant to obey my husband. I am confused. Do I still need to obey my husband?

When I was TBM, I would have attributed bad things happening to former believers to God punishing them for non-belief. It took some time for me to break out of that box of feeling my non-belief would result in tragedies in my life.

I won't be "loyal" to an organization that won't adhere to the same level of loyalty to me. When I work for an organization, I am hired and paid for the work I produce in benefit of that organization. I am not hired or paid for my beliefs and/or "loyalty" whatever that means. Look how TSCC dumped its loyal janitors so they could save another billion.

Prayer is a good euphemism for masturbation. For example, you can say: I will "pray" for you. Let's "pray" about this issue. Ere you left your room this morning, did you think to "pray"? "Prayer" is the soul's sincere desire.

Gideon Brownell and Elizabeth Wheeler. They lived in Nauvoo and emigrated to Utah in 1849. Elizabeth descended from the Mayflower Pilgrims. How low they descended!

I am familiar with the prayer icon (palms of two hands pressed together). I'd like to see the masturbation icon.

I began researching tithing on the internet to find out the history of tithing and to determine whether paying on the gross was necessary. I found the gross basis comprised 25 percent of my take home pay. I first found my way to NOM, then Mormon think then RFM. RFMers seemed so anti mormon and angry. However my google searches for information always led to RfM. This research occured while

Mormonism does not allow young people to experiment with sex to learn individual needs and desires. In fact TSCC indoctrinates the young to suppress the natural sexual desire and equate the thought of sex with sin. On the honeymoon night, intercourse is shocking, in particular, to the uninitiated woman. Not only is the sex act painful and bizarre, but it is difficult to overcome the lifelo

It depends on your objective. If you want to continue going to church and not raise any concerns about the level of your belief, don't say anything, but when your HT "companion" calls you to schedule HT, be unavailable due to work, family needs, study, sleep, etc. This is a passive agressive approach, but effective and is employed by many active men. Asking to be "released

I thought the garmie design was Gawd directed and the BP had the authority to counsel people to not adjust their garmies to accommodate clothing styles. Seems like Gawd keeps changing his mind about garmies....

My opinion is that since you bought the temple clothes, they are yours to do with as you please. If TSCC wanted to have a say in how you dispose of the temple clothes, TSCC should have footed the bill for them. However, it made members purchase and wear these items to participate in the ceremonies. Therefore, you have no obligation to follow their rules for disposal.

We have a bunch of old gospel doctrine and BOM teaching manuals. We kept them for proof of former practices and policies that TSCC no longer claims are "doctrine." Is there any point in keeping these old books, considering the carefully worded plausible deniability used by TSCC to backpedal on their former teachings? I am thinking of tossing these items unless anyone can think of
