If you own a food processor, it's a very quick easy thing to make. Without one, shredding all those carrots and potatoes are a real drudge. Cooking it in a crock pot or pressure cooker also simplifies it a lot. The microwave makes sauce making quick and easy.

I believe we already fought that war, and won. However, if they'll take Utah, I won't complain.

That's only good if he dies. If he ends up in long term care, it could leave his wife destitute and stuck taking care of an invalid the rest of her life. If your care taker dies before you, you're really screwed. Then what? Ask your future care taker if they really want that job before you do things that could sign them up. Or, maybe your spouse is like me. I have a chronic illness. It

Such a nice song. My family is a tiny bit twisted. This was our "We have RESIGNED" song. We play it every Thanks Giving. Dil complains that she can't get it out of her head for months afterwards. lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbfM7RqQE1c

I cooked it just like I normally do, except I put my pudding mold in a slow cooker with about an inch of water in the bottom of the slow cooker.Place the lid on the slow cooker. I cooked it on the high setting. It took about two or three hours. You could probably put it on a lower setting and cook it for several hours if you're not going to be home. It's a worry free kind of thing and is easier

Seeing a guy get his leg ripped off in front of me, and a block long pool of blood from a couple that went over a cliff, has me convinced to never get on a motorcycle. I don't care how old you are. My husband rents a Harley once a year and goes riding with his friends in Az. I don't like it, but I suppose it's his choice. I have told him that if he cripples himself, I can't take care of him a

What would they do with all the silly temples then? Because, if the BoM isn't true, none of the rest of it is either. Including everything JS made up. They wouldn't have any way to bully people into handing over 10%+ of their income.

Maybe they'll let you bring Poncho with you next time. He might be of help if you know you have him with you. You can always ask.

I love shortbread. I only make it once a year, at Christmas. I cut out tiny little stars and sprinkle a bit of course sugar on them . Yum.

I thought I was the only one. I make it every year, complete with lemon sauce. I also get to eat it all by myself. I usually freeze some of it for later. I bought an instant pot pressure cooker. Wow does that speed up the process. I think it took about 30 minutes if I remember correctly. There are directions online for using an instant pot to cook Christmas pudding. It's basically the same

Yikes! I will say though, if you'd been calling my hubby and explained that you thought he was a telemarketer, he would have had some compassion for you. He hates telemarketing so much that we have a landline with no phone connected. It's cheaper to keep the line then it is to upgrade the cable. This world is upside down sometimes.

Condolences to for your deceased computer. My kids keep telling me i'm lucky to get more than 5 years. I'm from a time when electronics (?) like washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances lasted at least 30years and were $300 to replace for the high end ones. The replacement cost of computers, phones, and cars is just more than I can deal with sometimes.

Lavender extract is good with Vodka lemonade. However, go very easy on the lavender. A drop or two is plenty. A whole capsule is enough to make you never want to smell lavender again. You can make your own extract. It's easy. http://thecoconutmama.com/how-to-make-lavender-extract/ This is also (basically) how you make any extract, including vanilla. It's also how you make your own Limonc

If I get stressed, I go out in the backyard and cut back the lavender hedge. After that i'm exhausted, and make a mental note to rip that hedge out next spring.

Ya know, sometimes I really hope there's a next life. I think people like our parents really deserve that. It's a good thing you and I didn't meet up when we were teens, we would have been one toxic stew, lol. I'm glad both of us have happier and more peaceful lives away from the crazies we were forced to live with as kids.

My daughter grew up with two older brothers. One day they were playing with Legos, and they told her she couldn't play because she was a girl. She pinned a sock on the front of her jeans, went back, and said "now can I play?" They got the message loud and clear.

I think there are some that cry as a tension release. People get nervous. They start to talk, they relax a bit and there come the tears. I think there are others that do it in an attempt to manipulate the crowd. Tears can work well for that at times.

For 17 years there were two people in my life who had decided they enjoyed keeping me in check. I despised both of them. They were control freaks without feeling. When I was 17 I packed my suitcase and moved far away from them. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. They'd both still be crushing my life if I let them. They aren't allowed anywhere near me.

I've never told my parents. I haven't talked to them in decades, and i'm not going to start now. They'd be thrilled they won't be stuck with me eternity.
