Basically back then I saw movies like "Truman Show" and "Pleasantville" as clever tactics by Satan to weaken the faith of LDS people. What is funny about that is I also clearly saw that these shows applied, that the church seemed to be using similar tactics. Looking back my main thought was to defend my family members.
