I come onto this website to get a shot of rational thought, not more of the bullshit Fox Propaganda talking points that I get from my LDS family.

What a f***ing hypocrite. The recent fiasco at BYU aside, I remember Ballard telling church member to donate as much money and time as they could to the Prop 8 mess. What a prick.

I seriously hate the church. With a high estimate, Mormons make up .002% of the world's population. Even a very low estimate of LGBT people is 3%. If that is the case, there are 16,000,000 Mormons and 225,000,000 LGBT people. So Mormons, since you keeping picking fights with us, let's brawl and get this over with. What do you say? Have you ever seen a pissed off drag queen? Just one

Age of Reason by Thomas Paine which was ironically written before the church started. Joseph Smith did not do anything new. No Man Knows My History and Insiders View of Mormonism are also must reads.

Although he wouldn't, I would love to see a President turn the church leaders away.

What a bunch of BS. The church never takes responsibility for their actions. It is always someone else's fault.

I work in city planning and work with a large variety of developers and land owners, but one of my worst experiences to date is a Mormon Church remodel. Besides reliving PTSD by having these self-righteous men in white shirts and ties in a room with me, I am surprised how stingy and nasty these people are. They want variances to city ordinances on everything because, apparently, the rules d

This shows how dangerous and harmful the church is to gay people AND members of the opposite sex the gay people feel pressured to marry. No one wins. I am so glad that I never married a woman like the church wanted me to. It would have caused a lot of harm to both of us and I would have missed out on 20 years of being with my husband. People are gay. I am so f'ing pissed that these stor

I was a missionary in rural Georgia. Most people do not like Mormons and equate them to the Jehovah Witnesses. I heard all kinds of crazy stuff, like Mormons stole babies and the temples had sexual initiations. I kept hoping the temple sex rumors were true, but sadly all I got was some older guy touching my side under a robe. As far as the members of the church, they were definitely dif

The Mormon church really did a number on me. I think PTSD is good way to describe it.

Yes, I purposefully avoid religious people. Maybe that is not fair, but in my experience religious people are more bigoted and close-minded.

I used to excuse the church leaders because they do some good things and teach some good principles. But my eyes have been opened over the years. I now see the church leaders for what they are - despicable men that propagate a lie to inflate their own bloated egos. They would rather see kids kill themselves than admit they are wrong and apologize. I am so happy I got out. I hope others find th

I thought I was so special when I was told I was from the tribe of Judah. As I got older I learned that my last name is a very common Jewish last name. It was not a stretch for the Patriarch by any means.

Cl2, I am sorry for what you went through. It is not just gay and transgendered people that suffer because of the church's bullshit beliefs, it is people like you. I am a gay man and was never married, but I know I caused girls I dated pain with emotional roller coaster rides as I was coming to terms with my sexual orientation. All because of a stupid religion trying to push me to be somet

All I know is that the temple ceremony planted the seed that grew into apostasy. That is a whole lot of crazy.

I get it too. I found joining a well-lit gym helps a lot. I think is the combination of the exercise and not sitting around the house being bored.

From the moment I heard the news, I suspected the two-hour meeting was about money. They can pack more wards into fewer buildings. The brethren don't give a rat's ass about the stress level or time of those at the bottom of the pyramid scheme.

I went to a church sponsored therapist. I doubt it would have helped her. What she needed was a professional therapist not bound by the Mormon's f-ed up teachings. Sad story all around.
