The neighborhood bishop found my membership number for me. It was at the lost member dept in SLC. He kindly asked me if I ever gave it a chance. I told him I started planning my escape at 14. But thank you. Now i have that I can follow the advice on this thread.\ Again thank you.

Thanks for all the sweet thoughts. I will follow the info here. I didn't know about the member #. The last official thing I had in the church was my baptism. I will ask the bishop around here to get that for me. My records didn't follow me to the city I moved to 30 years ago. When my mother had asked me where I wanted them I told her if you send them here I will resign. Haven;t been bot

My father passed away last week. He was always loving and respectful of my choice to stop being a Mormon at 15. I am 64. I always planned to have it removed after he passed away. I have read on here that the church on purpose lefts them know. I think this still might have hurt him He was my rock and an unconditional parent. Is the Quit Mormon.com the easiest way to go forward? I do

If you ever find yourself in chronic 24/7 nerve pain, and the opiates at the time were the only choice, you might be surprised what you might do. After years using them for this kind of pain I Take the weakest and lowest amount I can. Lucky for me medical Cannibis will and does help the kind of nerve pain I have. I am just west of highway 89. So from my deck I will be able to look down at this lovely building. The way they are lit at night it will be hard to ignore. That bird preserve from what I recall dies go through seasonal changes. If you have time make the drive out to antelope island. We have the most amazing sunset spring and fall from the deck. I have read that having your doctor switch you to valium is an easier withdrawal. Longer half life. There is a message board called Benzo Buddies that is a world of help.

I left at 15 in the 70’s. I suppose I was lucky that my parents truly believed in free will. From a young age it never felt right to me, so I didn’t pay attention in church. I actually learned what I was being taught when I found this board. I imagine it would have been more challenging for people before the internet.

I don't consider what starbucks sells as "coffee". It has a burnt taste even under all the sugar and milk in a latte. Maybe the tea is good quality. Just one old coffee drinkers opinion.

I saw a news report that a part of this book is being changed. Seems it was about bishops interview. I don’t know what this book is, but I know over the years I have read much about these interviews.

This afternoon a man made the unfortunate mistake of knocking on my door to talk to me about my signature on the petition for MMJ. After letting him talk for a few minutes, I asked why he thought he had any business asking people to take back the signature. He wanted to explain to me how deceiving the info for the petition was. I explained to him that I was tired of the LDS church sticki

My uncle told me this AM that Uchtdorf is perceived well by the youth. They need him to focus on trying to stop the hemoraging in that age group. I don't even know the new guys as I haven't been to or followed the church for over 35 years. My family is still active and temple recommend holders, so today I asked his opinion. But who knows. I agree that the 3 guys now in charge all look li
