Why are the upper ranks of Mormon leadership occupied by sociopaths? What is it about Mormonism that produces sociopaths? Maybe I’d rather not know.

My DW used to see angels in the temple. Usually floating near the ceiling. In everyday life, she sometimes saw dead people. We both witnessed several miracles over the years. Things that were clearly outside the realm of physical possibility. Not that any of this makes Mormonism true. It does say something about belief, however.

“though she's an active Mormon, she has told me that she doesn't even believe in God.” Wow, no wonder they’re such fanatics! They’re trapped in a cult and couldn’t get out if they wanted to. I wonder how many Mormons are in the same boat. They go through the motions because “that’s what we do” but don’t believe any of it. Must be Utah Mormons. No seriously, I just had a St

Mormons, with with most cults, are impervious to information. You can’t get through to them with reason because their cult is intrinsically unreasonable. Bad ideas are tougher than crab grass.

Pitt in a Tarantino movie has to be good. I like Joachim Phoenix sort of. Probably plays a very dramatic Joker, if you’re into that.

It’s amazing how terms drop out of use when they’re discovered to be utter horse$hit. What will happen to their entire religion?

The land that the temple sits on is worth more than the temple, which is a religious use tax exemption. The church is a real estate company using a sham religion as a tax shield.

Great, now astronauts can brag that their meat was grown in space. I often have to correct the ladies. No, it wasn’t grown in a lab.

If it were kind and loving, it wouldn’t be a worldwide church. When have you ever not been worthy of God’s love? How about never? But that doesn’t sell. Unconditional love doesn’t work in the Mormon world. Because then what would you need the church for? Charlatans from day one. They love the lies they profess even while quoting scripture condemning the same. You can’t make this

Mormonism needed an aggressive missionary program as a way to gain more dupes (not mere converts) and get rid of the husbands of the prophet’s secret brides. It succeeded because of its deviousness, helped along by Brigham Young. Mormon doctrine made the genocide go down easy, as it makes everything else you know is wrong go down easy. Jesus has a “get out of hell free” card waiting for you

Mormonism proved to me that I could believe ANYTHING and God would be okay with it. That’s a good mind hack to know. I’ve noticed that organized religion is more for extroverts. Introverts can carry their churches around inside their heads. If subjective truth works in Mormonism, it should work anywhere. So make up whatever beliefs works for you.

“Caught” is right. Mormonism is carefully designed to warp your mind so that you can’t escape. That’s a cult, not a religion. OP is still feeling the effects of thought control. Church leaders talk compassion and faith because they are well compensated actors. Their real life actions speak otherwise. LDS is like a drug. Don’t be a brain-fried hippie like Jim Ignatowski from “Taxi

I believe in following your heart. If Mormonism feels right to you, you might have something. On the other hand, your natural impulse for the divine could be manipulated by blind guides having no interest in your wellbeing. If they have any real faith in God, why the expensive security apparatus and bulletproof cars? Why the tight thought control? Why in the face of zero evidence do they consi
