Hello My wife has been a true blue, dyed in the wool Mormon now for about 12 years. I have had nothing to do with her current belief system. Yet I try my best to ignore the religion, and try to be social with the members of her church. I attend get togethers, and specific activities at the church ( such as weddings, funerals, etc). Even though I’ve made it clear in a respectful way, they are al

My wife ( who is a mormon, not me)is giddy about returning to church. She boasts how the "higher ups" from church have decided that people can go back. I asked her " why now"? her reply was that they know what they are doing. ,,,,,,Can't argue with ignorance, perhaps the special underwear will save them.

my wife became a mormon about ten years ago, and I totally hear you regarding the constant barrage of religious stuff. I read about this talk regarding mormons and respecting other beliefs, and it "turned back the tide" with my wife and other members of her church. https://www.sltrib.com/news/2019/06/19/religious-freedom-one/ When they give me the party line about their being the &

we both disassociated ourselves. I did it several months earlier, the hypocrisy from both sides, (Mormon and jw) was getting really toxic for me. She has become really involved, teaching Sunday school and all sorts of other activities. The pressure to get me to join is always there. I found the following speech from a Mormon leader, it is starting to work as a repellant for me: https://new

wow Nightingale, thank you so much for your honesty. My wife dove headfirst and actually got baptized as a Mormon while still a jw ! Imagine that. And I was in the middle, watching witness friends, and watching her start to make a whole new identity with the Mormons. Kind of a mind-blowing time for me. I realize the substance of your comment " Posters here are interesting, funny, compassio

Thank you all for your comments, and suggestions ! I'll apply these whenever I can. This video is the closest illustration I can find regarding the constant pressure to join their church. ( Mormons are the Hyenas) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5V6gdu5ih8

Hello, I'm not a Mormon, but my wife is. We were jw's for several decades, and 12 years ago we decided to leave that group. My wife jumped full force right into Mormonism even though I wanted nothing to do with them. I felt that I needed time to rediscover what my true spiritual needs were. I've been reading about, and attending several different religious services during this time, and becoming

I was raised as a jw. They go out in "service" during the week. That is door to door work, usually 9-12, and then 1-3:30. They do this EVERYDAY, so that is why you see cars in their lot all the time. Any other questions ? just toss them mu way :)

My wife became a Mormon 12 years ago, but I have told her again and again, that I will never join it. Throughout these years I have tried to be supportive to an extent, such as going to get-togethers at her church, attending the Christmas party, weddings, things along this line. But about five years ago, I came to the realization that attending these occasions was actually depressing my spiritu

My wife had been a Mormon for about ten years. I have nothing to do with it. Lately I've noticed that every time she talks about the Mormons it goes something like this , " I have to go to THE church for cleaning, or sister so and so and I will meet at THE church. Suddenly any reference to Mormonism is tied up with this term, it's kind of freaky to me. Born agains reference their beliefs

My wife who is a Mormon has been talking quite a bit about this lately. But for some unknown reason, several authority figures from her religion want to come over and talk to me. It seems that Us Helping an elderly, almost blind Mormon lady requires us both to be recognized, and talked to for doing this. She drives the lady to dr. Visits and church on Sunday. I just drive her to the store or pi

Yes, your right PTSD is a little heavy, my neighbor is an AA facilitator and I totally get your point. Being a once jw and getting thrown into the pit with another religious group like that is sometimes pretty heavy mentally. Thank you for your comments!

19. PTSD
Hello, my wife and I were Jehovah's witnesses for around 25 years. We walked away from that belief and everyone we knew for those years will not even look at us, in fact the best man in our wedding basically runs the other way if he sees me in a store. But after leaving, my wife changed horses in midstream and jumped headlong into Mormonism.she loves it, I will have nothing to do with it. But ju
