The only thing I did a little different maybe was send snail mail notes to the stake pres. and the bishop? I stated that I had sent the resignation to the COB I did not want any contact, and that I knew I was out the minute my email was opened. I got a letter back from the bishop stating he had sent notice to the stake pres. There were no calls, no visits (except on Sunday from my home teachers w

"But I don't wanna be the MAN!" I have always hated being a woman (small boobs, disgusting fluids, need we mention yeast infections?), but I sure don't want to be a man either.

Quad = Holy Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price all squished into one big book with teeny tiny letters. JoD: Journal of Discourses: a 26-volume collection of public sermons by early leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

If I recall, you sent yours about the same time I did (Jan 21st). I did send letters to the bishop and the stake president stating that they would be receiving notice from the COB about my emailed resignation. I got a note back from the bishop last week saying that he had contacted the stake president and I should get official word soon. And of course, that my baptism and confirmation are no long

I have never wanted to be buried, it creeps me out. In any case, I will be donating my MS/diabetes riddled shell to the nearest medical school anatomy lab (currently the U of U), and they cremate the bodies when they are done with them.

Something (I don't remember) was said when I gave the prayer once in class. I have never prayed in front of anyone since.

Yeah, I did get paid (not much, but still), and I heard the men's areas were worse. I worked at a care center and also a fancy fitness center located in the south end of the Salt Lake valley. Rich people are the WORST. I actually really liked both of these jobs, be

I sent letters to the stake pres and the bishop stating no contact, and I'm not worried about them taking awhile as I was no longer a member the moment Dodge opened my email.

we all get one. What I did, because I sort of know the bishop, was send him a cheery letter stating that he will be receiving a letter from Dodge and I want him to do whatever it is he has to do without contacting me or discussing the matter with my TBM grandmother, whom I live with, as it's not her business. The stake president is also getting a letter stating no contact, and he can do whatev

Name Membership # Birthdate, State Mr. Dodge, This letter is my formal resignation from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it is effective immediately. I request NO CONTACT about the matter from local leaders. After today, the only contact I want from the church is a single letter of confirmation to let me know that I am no longer listed as a member of the church. T

They won't read past the first sentence though it makes you feel better. Expect the form letter in about three days telling you that the info has gone to your stake president and bishop. You are no longer a member, so you don't have to do anything else.
