I consider Jack Mormons as members that pretend they have all their shit together and portray themselves as such. A select few who are close to the Jack Mormon know what they are really like. Whether it's not following the Word of Wisdom, committing adultery, being dishonest in business dealings, and a number of other things. I feel the same way as I do about them when I was TBM; assholes.

I remember being told by Sunday School teachers he most likely was married. I was also told the wine he drank was grape juice.

I wish one of my family members was still alive. They were staff when he was president. I'd love to know their opinion of that man. Probably glowing; they were Mormon too.

I predict less than 15 million. Of course it will be inflated to and less than half will be active members.

When you are poor and want a degree in business, it's very disheartening to be required to take SOME of these courses that increases the cost of an education and does nothing to help your degree. Sincerely, History and Appreciation of Film student because I needed humanities credit.

It isn't just the "good" Mormon kids committing suicide. It's also kids in inactive families who are ostracized, kids who are non members, come from broken homes (Mormon and non), kids with mental illness, and the list goes on and on. Unfortunately there is at least one a year at the closest high school in my area and it is a small student population. Also young adults dying from drug a

As short as possible. Parents, siblings, spouse, and children listed. Birth and death date. Marriage date with no mention of it being a temple wedding. Nothing else. Leave them wondering.

Close to being born in the early 80's. Plenty of Gen X people have left the church. Plenty have died from suicide too. It's a total crap shoot.

The mainstream media probably could not care less overall about the LDS church and their weirdness. The church is laughable and I think a good description is Scientology Light. They are probably aware of how doctrine has changed throughout their history in order to remain relevant. They probably look at the temple oaths like the Catholic sacraments, partaking of the body and blood of Christ. I

This General Conference talk https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2008/10/celestial-marriage?lang=eng "While salvation is an individual matter, exaltation is a family matter. Only those who are married in the temple and whose marriage is sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise will continue as spouses after deathand receive the highest degree of celestial glory, or exaltation. I view Mormons the same way. I used to be like them after all. I can be around them but in very small doses.

Hell no. I have family members that are convinced that many do come back right before they die. I'm going to disappoint them.

Nothing. Not in my lifetime anyway. There will be fewer members every year, but it won't die for a long time.

I thought this was going to be about "ewenique" spellings and made up names that are more prevalent in Utah than BOM names. I keep a word document on my laptop and add new names that I hear about and I think are amusing. My favorites are parents names combined to name their child. HILARIOUS!

I selfishly want my close family members to leave. They seem to make it work being active while I struggle to live.

I was too young to fully grasp what was going on in the 70's, 80's, and most of the 90's. For me, President Hinckley's interview on 60 minutes "I don't know that we teach that" was the first thing that started weighing down the shelf. The final straw was punishing the children of gay children this decade; the 2010's. DONE!

Then there's my family. A long time inactive man was in an accident and it was not looking good for him. Then the testimonies began of how many people have came back to the church when they are old, in failing health, or they no longer want to sin.

Living in the morridor, I saw the Presbyterian church do more for every resident at a care facility; regardless of religion. The Mormon residents rarely had visiting teachers from their new ward and very few caring visiting teachers from their old ward would stop by. I NEVER saw home teachers. They also held a weekly Bible study, again open to all residents.
