The other two speakers are great also, but not as well known as these two. I want to get the bios up on the website before we announce the rest. Hopefully by the end of next week!

I don't post much here, cause I'm one of the "old-timers", and honestly I have not done a very good job of putting some of my demons to bed, so always concerned about coming across more bitter than I really am. HOWEVER.....I had not read any of the posts made in 2013 about this story, so didn't know about it until reading your post tonight, Steve. It has triggered some personal memori

Also to clarify. Any of the $$ stuff I'm talking about with the rooms is NO income to the Foundation. In fact, we spend thousands every year to put it on, and have only raised the fees once in the last 4-5 years, and before that only once before, from what we were charging 12 years ago. :-) And that is usually $5 when we do. Food for the Conference is VERY expensive! Hope you can join us f

DON'T BE FOOLED! I am getting some emails about the difference between an online rate and the one given for our block of rooms. This is the explanation from the hotel for that: "The rooms that you might see for less online are limited. Only a few rooms are offered at a rate below ours and those are non-changeable/non-cancelable. Those rates do not include breakfast (which is $15.95) and

There is little more than a month before the deadline for reserving rooms at the Doubletree Suites in SLC for the Exmormon Foundation Conference (deadline is 9/22/15). If you want a room, call 801.359.7800 and ask for the Reservation Clerk. Do not call the national number. After the deadline you will need to email me to make the reservation, if there are still rooms available in the hotel. F

I know how to put a link IN the post. But in the past, some links have been deemed "not safe"", "not acceptable"? I don't post much, so I could never figure out what made some links unacceptable. Sue

The Exmormon Foundation is very pleased to let everyone know that the last slot for our program has been filled. EARL WUNDERLI, author of "An Imperfect Book: What the Book of Mormon Tells Us About Itself" will be sharing his research of many years and telling us about some of the major examples of anachronisms and inconsistencies within the book. Should be very interesting! For a

I know, I understand. I feel the same way if I have to enter a Mormon church for various "grandkid" things. Just trying to needle you little in a humorous way and hope you might change your mind. I've said for years that most exmormons have a form of PTSD. I really believe that. And triggers are triggers, different for anyone. Stay tuned for the rest of the program. It's going to

I think that might be called "cutting off one's nose to spite one's face", isn't it! :-) Why let the "suits"deprive you of a great weekend that will energize and sooth you. Once you get to the hotel, you don't have to even look out a window at the blessed skyline! Just sayin'.

We discovered late yesterday a miscommunication with the hotel about the dates for the Conference. Not sure what happened, but we have already announced the incorrect weekend a couple of times. The CORRECT DATES are the 3rd weekend in October, the 16th-18th. We are very sorry for this and will make the changes needed on our website. We will let you know when it's ready to accept your registrat

You remember it right. It was drilled into me and my contemporaries over and over that only ONE man, as the Prophet for the whole world, could speak for God. Just another one of the slowly turning changes that have happened with church doctrine -- if anyone besides Bushman says this. I think that Richard Bushman cannot not help being a very confused man at times. I've never understood the inn

From the Deseret News.....Note what they are saying about the reasons for lowering the mission ages, and not really caring that most of them are going stateside, as converts isn't the number one purpose!! They are confirming what a lot of us thought at the beginning of this -- a way to keep the young people firmly co-dependent on the church for the rest of their lives! http://www.deseretnews
