Susan doesn't want us to post entire chat histories because it takes up too many resources. So I will only post small excerpts. I went on to test the waters and I think the chat room is ripe for occupation! I said that I am a history major with some questions (true). Then I asked him if his prophets had ever done anything. He referred me to the documentary of Monson's life. I asked if Mo

We should occupy LDS chat sometimes and do something similar. That is a great idea.

Yeah. I have heard this from a lot of MPs and GAs actually. It wasn't just my mission. Since the missions have given up the pressure tactics of the 70s, they need some knew way to inspire missionaries to actually work and do the PMG thing. Cursing the families or promising hot wives and great riches is newest pressure tactic for the mission fields in the last couple years. The miss

Ironically, the MP's wife was rather large and scary. I would never take her. Also, both of his kids has severe medical problems. I am not sure how he dealt with that cognitive dissonance.

Every mission conference that we had, we were treated to a familiar diatribe. Our MP told us how hard he worked on his mission and then told us that we should work just as hard or be cursed. If we didn't talk to everyone we met, our children would be disabled. If we were sent home early, we would end up on the street selling crap and get hit by a train like one of his former Elders. If

I volunteered in a cannery. They had the production schedule up. Out of the 12,000 cans we produced, 11.500 were specifically made to be sold. Only 450 were marked humanitarian. This says it all.

My trainer was a Panamanian. He was the worst missionary ever. And he was pretty good for his ward. Panama is the richest and most Americanized country in Central America. It is also one of the lowest baptizing areas and weakest church places. It is funny how places start baptizing much less when they get more educated and wealthy and Americanized.

I was thinking that we could write some kind of mission statement so that people would know our purpose. I am open to suggestions and changes in wording. But, here is my rough draft. We are Occupy the Net. We believe that the Internet is one of the greatest tools of truth in our age. However, it can also be a tool for confusion and obfuscation. Unfortunately, the LDS church is trying to u

The chapels in Guatemala suck too. I had to live in them. We asked the First Presidency to build a small two room place for the missionaries next to a chapel in Guatemala and they refused. Right now, the missionaries are still living in a cinderblock shack that isn't even sealed. It was pretty gay. Monson talks about how much he loves the missionaries in conference, but they were constantl

Nah. I've seen the statistics. They sell 90% of all the products in their humanitarian program. It is ridiculous.

I posted the following: My missionary companion told me that I was less righteous than him because he has blonde hair and blue eyes and I am much tanner and have brown hair. I am serious. Another said that all Latinas are ugly because of Gods curse to make them unappealing to the good, white missionaries. WTF!

Occupy Youtube is very effective I think. We are not out to convince the hardened Mormon apologists. They will never change. However, we can help the neutral not fall into their traps by showing the other side of the story. We are there for those without their minds made up. The Morg also targets these people BTW. In my experience, the only people that get baptized are the people that aren

Great! I am glad to hear so much enthusiasm. We can really do a lot of good with the truth. I am not real good at technology, but does anyone know how to set up a mailing list? That would be great. We can also just post tag teaming opportunities hear on the rfm board to get other involved. You are all awesome.

LOL. Pictures pretty much say it all. Also, I loved how Mormons were talking about how worldwide and diverse the church is. However, 3% of all members in the USA are black. You really can't argue with a straight fact like that.

I have gotten some comments about my "plan" that seem fearful. I obviously need to explain my ideas a little more. I am not saying that everyone should join some kind of regimented online army or that we need to form a great conspiracy to take down the church. Rather, we should be willing to discuss these issues and form an unofficial, leaderless movement. Those that are inter

Love that book. Mormon Doctrine and Doctrines of Salvation did the most convince me the church was wrong with all their insanity long before I ever read "anti-Mormon propaganda." I left not because of the critic's words. I left because I listened to the prophet's words.

I was a Leftist first. I had professors at BYU railing on me in class with scriptures out and I even had students send me threatening notes and shoot out my apartment window. I am serious. It was ridiculous. Then, I went to the MTC. When my whole district started yelling at me that the KKK were the good guys, something kind of snapped. Not one Elder in my district agreed with me that th
