Well, I did it on a whim and decided to try it before I lost my nerve. So yeah, I was in my nightie, no makeup, bra, or hairstyling.

Here you go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQk8i8OE_DY LOL... maybe now you can see why I sing to photos! I am actually happy with how the song turned out. I've been wanting to do this one for years, and I can probably even play it on guitar for myself. I'm still figuring out how to video myself while singing, though, so one thing at a time. Hope some of you enjoy!

Thanks so much for the suggestions, everyone! My husband’s daughter sent him a email indicating that these ideas were a big help. Now she’s inspired!

We got it on that trip documented in my latest video. We are lucky enough to live two hours from Soufflenheim, where pottery is made. I wish she could have known my husband when she was growing up. He could have helped her see the world. She did her mission in South SLC. She’s actually an RS counselor, not the president.

That’s a good idea. I think she’s actually the RS president in her ward. I bet they can give her ideas. My husband has sent her boxes from Germany, so she wants to reciprocate. We have a box about to go with French pottery in it.

Don’t think that would get through German customs, where one has to take an extensive course just to be licensed to fish!

Bwahahahaha…. I don’t know that she has that much to spend. Maybe if she went to DI.

Ordinarily, I would agree, but she actually doesn’t know us very well. Her mother refused to let her and her sister have a relationship with my husband, so they have only been reconnected for a few years. He saw her in person for the first time since 2004 two years ago. That was the only time, because we live in Germany. I have only met her in person once, and that was in 2003. She isn

I should mention, we have access to the military commissary, so we can get generic American junk food and other stuff. I am asking about things specific to Utah or culturally “interesting”.

My husband’s younger daughter wants to send us a box. I suggested she send stuff that is popular in Utah, since I have never been there. She is stumped on what to send besides sugar. I have heard of fry sauce being a popular Utah thing. What else? Besides Jello, of course….

I lived in Armenia when they tried year round DST. It was terrible. The sun didn’t rise until late morning. They went back to changing the clocks the following year, and then in 2012, they got rid of DST altogether and now stay on standard time all year.

Thank you so much! We really needed that trip last week. We went to Stuttgart to see the dentist, then decided to visit a part of France, just inside the border. We stayed at a restaurant that offers four rooms to rent for four nights and visited little towns and ate lots of good food. It was a real morale booster.

Thanks, Nightingale. I have a good friend who lives in Canada. I met him when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia. He was working there after having completed Peace Corps service in Russia. His wife is Ukrainian and they live in Ottawa, but they still have family in Kyiv. It’s heartbreaking to read his social media posts. His mother-in-law refused to leave Kyiv, so they are very wo

This morning, I happened to see a video of a Polish man playing "Here Comes the Sun" at the Polish/Ukrainian border. It made me cry... so I decided to try it myself. Here's a link to the video that inspired me. https://fb.watch/bJB-c4Uxj7/ I don't have any good Ukraine pictures myself, but we did go to France last weekend, and we had sunshine the whole time. It was sooo nice,

I didn’t assume that there weren’t difficulties and hope I didn’t imply that. I just meant that the very fact that your daughter felt she could ask her mom to call your wife and thank her is remarkable. In our situation, that would never happen. My husband’s ex wife did not allow him *any* access whatsoever to his daughters. She also abused him to the point at which my husband’s

Your ex wife sounds like a much better person than my husband’s ex is. I wish I had been able to know my husband’s children when they were growing up.

Thank you. I only post about it because I never thought it would happen. Also, I want to offer hope to those who are going through what we did.

My husband’s daughter is a really good mom, and I can tell she wants for her kids what she didn’t have. To be honest, I never thought this would happen, because she was the first to reject my husband. She said she was afraid to talk to him because of what she’d heard. But now that they’re talking and comparing notes, I think she will stick around. I love that she’s developed a r

I am very sorry for your loss. My parents were also married 56 years. My dad got Lewy Body Dementia and died at age 81. It was tough on my mom, but she’s learned to thrive and, in fact, is a different person on her own. Still, it’s hard to lose a partner, especially after so many years.

And today, we received a lovely Valentine from the whole family… to include her husband, their son and daughter, and the baby boy who is due in June. Also, younger daughter addressed the envelope to both of us. So there is hope. I never thought I would see the day.

I read that his music is very popular on “beautiful music”/Muzak stations, and on the Sirius Escape station, they play at least one of his compositions every hour. My dad was a Muzak fan, so I have many traumas.
