I actually like to get the blank stare or total disconnect is what I think of it as :) I know that its passive aggressive or aggressive but I throw it in if I'm mad or something ha ha That's why I think everyone should read through the new testament because it doesn't take that long but there's so many things that get blank stares. Even as an atheist, just comparing the bible & Mo

It's much easier to have a plan to go by that has all the answers and we don't have to figure it out for ourselves, but there's a lot of Costs for that. It helps me to put it in perspective, here's a few off the top of my head: Money 10% + & Time. So much time is spent. Friendships outside the group. Family. And lots of lost opportunities. Look on the bright side, the res

I think they get the blank stare a lot of times when they are faced with any other belief system that they don't understand. They "Know" that every other belief or non-belief is wrong but they don't really know why...thus the blank stare. I had one do it the other day. She asked what's so different between the Christian God and the Mormon God. I simply said that the Christian God sup

Seriously, plus they're burning through all of the missionaries now and are going to need to change the ages of missionaries and revamp the every member a missionary thing or something that can feed the mission field beast. These current GA's are going to burn out the worker bees if they aren't careful.

I confess that I've had other names previously, one that I posted with for a while probably '03-'05 but I forgot them. The best part about my New name is that I remember my password and sometimes I even get logged on automatically & I can just post (or vent) quick & easy

Yeah, its hilarious I wonder how the internet missionaries are going to respond to the same questions...that's going to be fun Do you think the church is reading it and trying to prepare the missionaries or will they try to run away from questions like that? Its funny to see how easy the Mormons get stumped by the non Mormons every time :-)

If the comment section is anything like what the missionaries are going to be facing then they might be doomed. Mormon conversion should be a very private thing, so the convert doesnt have a chance to look at anything negative about the church. I can't imagine anyone being inspired by the weak showing of the Mormons there

Wow, there's over 700 comments and its looking pretty bad for the mormons. They are reduced to calling names and playing the persecuted Mormon card LOL

A funny Youtube might be what happened to me, especially since I didn't get it till the end and this guy was pretty close to being a stranger. I saw an LDS friend I hadn't seen for years. He comes up to me and says Hi, as he rubs me across the back different than anyone ever has, then he stands back and says "So are you wearing your Eternal Smile?" I was like WTF.. then he says it ag

I was born & raised in the church and I had never heard of Joseph Smith's polygamy. I had also never heard of Brigham Young's teachings in the LDS church's own Journal of Discourses. When I first saw them I thought it was Anti-mormon material but it was from the church itself... But a horrifying thing in Mormonism for me was having my Bishop talk to me about sex and masturbation alone

I love beer but I hardly ever even finish one. I'm usually finished when there's about an inch of beer left at the bottom...then I pour it out Anytime someone sees me do it they comment that I'm wasting it but I do it anyways Sometimes I say that I'm just giving 10% to the beer gods :)

Why would you still keep it holy? :) Sundays are like tithing, bonuses you get from leaving the church, spend them on something enjoyable !!!! Bless yourself :)

Why wouldn't they want you to volunteer? You're a talented dude...why not give it free to them? Why not just give whatever you're comfortable giving...(for now) Don't you see it ????? It's a sales technique. Just get you to say yes to something and the next yes is easier to get. And all they want to do is take... Needless to say, there will be a few that do go back to the Morm

Wow, I just went to try to see his page but when I searched there were lots of Facebook pages for him. I guess that makes it easy to spin and sanitize each page, kinda like the dry cleaners, if one gets dirtied just roll out another? Which Thomas is the real Thomas???

I've been noticing that Thomas S Monson seems like he is hedging his bets on the church. He knows the "work is true"? And that the Book of Mormon is a true book ? So is mother goose. Why such an indirect approach? It sounds a lot like political doublespeak. The latest Mormon prophets sure are less outspoken & courageous than their predecessors, probably because

To me, he was the Gordon B Hinkley of Catholicism. The most charismatic of the recent leaders. He seemed like he had a larger influence than the current pope twins...similar to Monson & the current Mo leaders.

Sometimes it's surprising who believes mormonism. I have a very Tattooed longtime friend (from Ut County) with pierced nipples that totally Freaked out at me when I told him the church wasn't true. I was shocked because I was expecting the opposite reaction from him. It took quite a while and a few discussions to get him to understand, then it was so awesome because he was able to feel les

Since you brought up the word Fuck, is there any other word that's more Convertible & Usable in so many different language ways? In my opinion, it's actually become an important word that has Power.

I think swearing is something that can't be taken lightly. If you are a lightweight swearer or someone that never swears at all, then be careful how you swear because you might sound stupid... Then there are people like me who can pick and choose when to swear but have also been able to use it almost as an art form. I can drop stuff as well or better than Samuel Jackson or other foul mo

A question I use to soften Mormons and certain ultra moral Christians: If I was doing a reality show and I am the star, Solomon shown living 24/7 with my 1000 wives and concubines, what would that be like???

Most all of my TBM family has said stuff like that to me also, especially when no other mormons are around... There's the rub, why did she have to say to her ward clerk husband "well its the truth" .. victory for her for admitting the truth in front of him, even & especially if it was accidental, she lets truth prevail !!!!

Why is it monogamy in the first place? It's an interesting study all people should do. I think it became standardized because of the Catholic church in about 1000 AD I think that's also a big time in the rise against gays. One thing that happened at that time was a teenager Pope outlawed preists to be married and deemed all male children as illigitimate with no inheritance from the c

In addition to what I wrote above... I have a question that I've asked people since I was about 5 yrs old and it was never good with my ultra TBM family, "What if there is an afterlife but its different than any Human has ever imagined ??? Not just 'different but the same', I mean completely different all together." That was the stumper for me before baptism into Mormonism. I w

Plus, locking other people out and preventing them from attending marriages etc...AND BEING OK WITH IT?? I have been among many embarrassed people waiting outside for many different marriages because we were less than worthy family and there were going to be pictures. We were waiting outside the big locked doors looking at all those Masonic Symbols wondering what they mean and WHERE WAS J

The best thing about belief after Mormonism is that its each of our own choice. Whenever people ask me what I believe I say "Right now I'm choosing to believe.... but I could be wrong..." It's such a liberating statement for me & the person I am talking to, especially if they are Mormon. I personally choose to believe in a God & afterlife right now, but I went through

I agree Cheryl. Also, I was shocked when I visited Christian churches about how open they are to talk about their problems and imperfections, much different than Mormons in my life always acting like they are pure and righteous.
