Sadly, I have represented his exact views on that matter. He expressed them in the left-leaning Guardian newspaper and caused a firestorm, with many people who had previously supported him in his various campaigns (gay rights, the right to out people who didn't want the pubic to know they were gay, gay marriage, green politics, human rights, etc,) publicly disowned him. Yes it was. I watched it yesterday. Not all of it, but enough to get the gist of it. It was ironic that the man standing behind Richard Dawkins and waving a placard, Peter Tatchell

Looking back at the works/words of Spencer Kimball and his attitude towards straight sex (a mixture, it seemed to me, of horror, disgust and fascination) how on earth could we suppose they could even make a pretence of trying to understand same sex attraction?

I remember the missionaries wearing hats in the late 1960s.

They used to have missionaries staying with members. They banned the practice in the late 1960s, early 1970s, I think.

We watched much of the coverage, it went really well. We weren't able to get tickets and, sadly, I wasn't able to get a press pass. My wife wanted to meet him.

I think Bush, out of force of habit, gave Monson the Masonic handshake.

Susie, I'd rather not as I do not want to cause trouble for my mum as she is getting on a bit and an active Mormon, locally. Besides, they are damaging TSCC so VERY well!!

Yesterday, I had a good day. I had visited my doctor (yes, on a Saturday and for free) and gone to pay the gas and electricity bill (finally sorted out after a great deal of effort) I'd met my Managing Director and one of his children on the way back from Football practice (that's soccer, if anyone wonders) and I was almost at home having had a glorious walk in some surprisingly warm September su

(Peter Tatchell) This rather spoilt the point of having an

I agree. People aren't supposed to leave the Morg and especially not be happy! We shattered their delusions, so they hate us for doing that.

I met, again, a pair of the most obnoxious Mormon missionaries I have ever encountered. I told them exactly what I thought of them and their rudeness. I have blogged about them before, and blogged about them again. I hope I never meet them again.

Good for you! By the way: COSHH = Control of Substances Hazardous to Health. It covers just about everything you can think of plus some you might not have thought of: Toner powder, air freshener spray cans, bleach, paints, etc.
