As I traveled around the country, had people ask about the Mormons. Didn't seem to hate or dislike them as much as was curious. Tried to give a basic view of what they believed in and didn't. Some people still think polygamy is part of the Mormons. Had some very interesting conservations.

My oldest sister married in the temple. Sent me an invitation. Told me that I had to wait in a separate building, then go to the reception and dinner later. Never went, sent them a $100.00, wished them luck. Never had much contact with them all their lives.

I lurk here to see that I am not the only one that got decremented against by Mormons. The worst I have been treated, lied to, ripped off, name calling, used. All by temple going, tithe paying, active Mormons.

Had a great Christmas. Few neighbors, no presents, no Christmas music, good wine, good food(elk roast). Not a Mormon in sight. Life is good.

I lived in the heart of Happy Valley. Over the years quite a few missies came by to peddle the Mormon BS. I would always offer to feed them if they shut down the Mormon talk. They enjoyed a good home cooked meal and a chance to kick back. Some came back when they knew I was smoking ribs and pulled pork. I enjoyed giving them some comforts of home.

I have known instances when a companion needed help getting someone into a restroom. However they went and got someone to help or watch the door where it wouldn't be a surprise. He was totally wrong the way he done it.

I always wondered. Why you would want to spend eternity with a family you don't like or they treated you like garbage? What about if someone is adopted? You were raised by one parent, don't know who is the other parent is? Whenever I ask these questions, never get a straight answer.

I got my divorce in the early 80's. I could tell you many funny stories about women desperate to be married, Help them raise their children, whatever. worst thing I could do was have sex with them. That was a serious step to many women. I was single, had a house, self employed. Felt like I was a constant target. Never remarried and have a very private and happy life.

Happy birthday and many more returns. I left in 1960 after graduating high school in the small farm town. I was not kicked out, just invited not to return to church until I repented for kicking the shit out of the bishops son. He was in the hospital for 3 days, I Never returned. Life is good,,

I have always wondered why they don't move it out to the West, by Tooele. Plenty of room there. Also have some sort of training and education system in place. There has to be a better way than what they have.

When I lived in Happy Valley, I used to watch the Mormons load up the family's and head out. While I sat on my porch and drank my coffee, put ribs or roast in the smoker. About the time my friends and I were finishing our meal and beer, here returns the Mormons, kids crying, fighting, removing their Sunday clothes. Was great entertainment.

There is time to step back and look. In this family the bonds and control are with the family, not you. It is clear you are not acceptable to his family. Been there done that. If he don't have the bones to stick up to his family and heap the blame on you, bail out now. It don't get better as time goes by.

I don't think I ever believed. I went along to get along. As soon as I graduated I left the small town and resigned the Mormons. This was in the early 60's.
