I know that feeling about always being 12 to your sisters. No matter how old I get my two older sisters see me as 12.

Heavenly mother ... Let's see. What would happen if people started praying and listening to her advice? That would not work into their doctrine. A woman's place is not one of authority. We are to nod and agree with the agenda, without contribution of any additional advice. Women have no authority. They are there to listen, obey, and support. To be a helper, and good wife and mom. And to do it qu

Good, then I won't be insulted that mine wasn't added. At least I know Susan isn't thinking, "Oh that's just Snuckafoodberry. I don't have time to be adding Snuckafoodberry."

I can't imagine she/he can feel good about what she/he just wrote to you. She/he will have to let that sink in awhile until it starts to thaw her/his cold, cold heart.

I bet my husband's bishop is 7 feet. His wife is tall too. And they are both really skinny. That is all I will say.

When the rest of the world marches on and leaves them behind politically. There will be a day which even conservatives will change their ideas on it. Several already have. Remember when some of the presidential candidates were saying they believed marriage should be between a man and a woman? Well that seemed right to me and it was only a few years ago! Now it is preposterous I ever though

If they are getting a tax exemption then they should not be free to discriminate. If they waive their rights to tax exemption then they should be able to discriminate. That should be the rule.

So out of step. I am half way expecting them to build special compounds soon to protect all the saints from the world and the evils contained therein.

They get offended really easily now. Their ideas about life get more archaic with passing of time, so they have a lot more to try and defend. They are more and more out of touch.

I don't know about it, but there are some things I take notice of now that I am kind of free. My ties that bind get looser all the time. I continue to trust that everything will work out in the end and anything believed which was false won't matter. I notice nature and how it makes me feel. I laid on a lounge chair yesterday watching the palm trees sway in the breeze against the bright bl

For love, loneliness, self doubt and friendship. I was very unhappy in my first marriage and felt totally trapped in it for several years. I was a Christian in a very letter of the law kind of church which judged me very severely for wanting to leave the marriage. My own family pushed me to try and stay in it though I was absolutely miserable, very controlled, by everyone and everything looki

I want to and did after leaving Mormonism for a few years, but now I'm not sure anymore. I am leaving it all up to God now to demonstrate why I should. All he needs to do is show himself real, and not in a way where I am using my imagination to conjure him up either. I maybe believe there is God who overseas the universal love thing and an afterlife. Not sure, as I said. But I really, rea

Maybe he was so freaked out at the spirit, angels or lord or personages or whatever he finally decided it was that appeared before him that he forgot to ask. If I had some other worldly being before me, I would wait for them to offer first. I would go groping at them to touch them. I would be too busy hiding somewhere and rocking back and forth. So it could have been satan's helpers but proba

When someone's mind is set on something it is hard to change it, and a person can do a lot of things for love, even molding your thoughts and beliefs if necessary. Usually they go back to who they really are. My lack of access to Jesus at the time was hard on me. I felt like my prayers weren't heard. I believe it was all in my mind but that is how it felt at the time. Sometimes you think so

Yes. Send her to thewivesofjosephsmith.org. He married several teens and women who were already married, even an 8th grader (Helen mar Kimball) when he was in his 30's, and maybe even another 8th grader. They think that polygamy was of God and was right. The man she is marrying believes it too. That it came from God. If she were to do a little digging she would be repulsed. I wish I c

Don't worry. It rarely lasts for converts. It lasted 8 years for me before I woke up and realized it wasn't meant for me. When you aren't born into Mormonism after awhile you learn more and more ridiculous things that end up being too far fetched to believe. Then you just end up going back to how things were before. How you were raised because it is really your familiar self. My dad was so
