Layla that is a poignant story, sent chills through me over & over. It's beautiful and I believe it. Your sister manifesting herself in love. Something peculiar happened in my house 3 days ago on the morning of my birthday. 5am I woke up naturally and walked downstairs to the basement to use the bathroom because that's where my personal bathroom is. Next to my bathroom is the laundry cl

Why do parents care about kids leaving? Can't they just dead dunk? Well then why don't parents just kill their children before age 8? Instant kids' pass to the Celestial Kingdom! Sarcasm Mormon theology is warped. Just throw it all out the window, live & let live.

Lily, I sympathize with everything you said. I've struggled with bipolar for 20 years too. You articulated it very well. Other people don't always understand the hidden pain, the mental/emotional/psychological demons. It hurts and it's not fair but thankfully the darkness cycles with light. Ugh. Big huge Hug!!

Some people affect a comedian persona to mask their inner pain. He did profoundly well in dramas. My very favorites of his The World According to Garp Good Morning Vietnam (comedy/improv/drama) Dead Poets Society Good Will Hunting Patch Adams And I loved, loved, loved Mork & Mindy :-)

Noooo :'-( I was just daydreaming about Mork & Mindy episodes a few days ago :'-( I saw him perform live once He always did seem a bit *off* but I never imagined he was so depressed. I am just a bit heartbroken right now. This is the first I'm hearing of this :'-(

That is a concerning perspective. I wonder how much Elizabeth knows about real church history, especially about JS's conquests with teen girls. And how that knowledge would affect her. But she was raised so coddled & protected & loved, it seems tscc is permanently interwoven into all of that for her. Who knows how life may unfold.

What do you think of this annual LDS teen sleepover in the church building? As recently as the early 1990's and in at least one stake I know of, an annual YW/YM event, a church "lock-in." An overnight sleepover mingling YM & YW. It was well-chaperoned and nothing naughty happened, but boy-girl feelings were stirred which was probably by design of the activity coordinators. Encour

I agree with Bona Dea. Not every sleepover is a recipe for disaster. I had sleepovers often as a child/teen and we always had good clean fun. None of us kids or the adults chaperoning us had any wayward ideas.

Welllll.... I was once just like your wife. And now I'm more like the promiscuous lady you worked with. I'm not promiscuous, but much more alive than when married. You can skip to paragraph 10 if you want to get straight to the meat of what I want to tell you. Looking back, having learned & experienced much since divorce, the reason I didn't enjoy intimacy with my husband is that he

This is a turning point at which you recognize your tithing dollars are not being used in Godly ways by the church. Along with that realization all of the other things you thought were true are proved no longer to be true. There is no such thing as sealings. It's all psychological, and you're bound to it by devotion to your family. If you break away from the church because you've realized it's

I lived in North Dakota for a year. I wouldn't wish that desolate hell on ANYONE. Of course jobs are offering high wages, it's the only possible way to get anyone to even consider living there. Do you work to live, or live to work? If you work to live, there is no life in North Dakota. Wintertime 9 months out of the year. Fun sleeping in a car like that, hmm?

BESIDES fly out there? Why not fly out there? Creepy and unsettling that the police can't do anything. He wants to come home, you want him home, but he is being held there against his wishes. Fly out there and kidnap him back. Pre-arrange details with him in a letter.

Yes, some form of happiness can be found in tscc but true life experiences and happiness can be worked for & earned in the real world. Surely the mishies will see that sooner or later.

Choice #5 Rise above it all. Forget it all. Let it go. Be free. The truth is within you! We all have the truth within us, very helpful to return to when other influences are pulling us in confusing directions.

Lost & Founds are still around whenever I need them. Grocery store, gym. Perhaps turning CASH into a L&F is a lost cause. With cash it's finders keepers because highly unlikely the cash will stay in the L&F long enough for the rightful owner to retrieve it.

+1000 That's the life I was working to build as a TBM. Endlessly, insanely frustrating when it felt I was the only one who wanted a Christlike world. My own husband was against every positive effort I made. Totally instrumental in my eventual throwing in of the towel.

News to me. Well how can tscc preach NO PORN then do this? Still hard for me to accept this even though I no longer affiliate with tscc.

Source please. I find it hard to believe tscc would do this. No way. Clever idea though. Perhaps somewhere people are trying this. Who would subject themselves to this is either really determined to "straighten" up, or into bdsm, or both. Let gays be gay. This post is disturbing.
