I went to a Indian (Hindu) wedding. The religious ceremony was boring. However, the party after wards was quite festive with lots of good Indian food, bollywood music, and open bar. The Indians basically seemed to eat drink and eat and be merry was the impression I got from the reception.

By desirable - I am assuming LDS are looking for whites who have money or financially well off would be the 1st choice for LDS or any communities/countries worldwide that are well off - is the LDS making inroads with converting with these people. The impression I get here is that the LDS only convert the folks looking for friends, needing assistance or folks who marry LDS

I know a lot of LDS came from UK so thought it might be a big deal to the LDS. I only see the LDS pandering to the Polynesians/Samoans/Tongans and trying to take over that culture as theirs but maybe in other parts of the country and in the world, the LDS may celebrate St Patrick - dont know so asking

Is the LDS a big presence in Japan? I am assuming they have a big presence since there is a LDS Temple there. So are they growing there and it would be a good area to get tithing money which the LDS is obsessed with. Thanks

What a miserable eternity it would be if all of the fanatics from all of the major religions were right. However, I am counting on sexist, racist, hypocritical, uncaring, greedy, homophobic evil people which most religious types are here on earth cannot be right on their concept of hell.

I just like to learn more about them tick and what makes them so controlled but still all the LDS I know are happy campers. I use this forum to find out - are they really happy campers or just being phony and putting up a facade to others? I like to learn about their goofy secret rituals etc. It is just mindless info to waste time on the internet; It is really not that important as far as any rec

I think doing charitable projects from hospitals, schools, clean water projects would a better alternative to bothering them with those Opie looking missionaries. I know the LDS use missionaries as a vehicle to indoctrinate/brainwash the future leaders of the church but from a practical standpoint, they would get a lot more good will and better quality of members by spending for example $1 billio

I do not need organized religion to tell me how to be a good person, how to pray, how to decide who to give my charitable donations to, i do not need a bishop/priest/minister/guru etc to teach me to pray or reach God

http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700113233/Vai-Sikahema-Polynesian-culture-offers-barriers-blessings-Part-II.html Whenever I see LDS talk about Polynesians and South Pacific, the LDS almost imply that they are the dominant religion or Utah folks are the dominant influence in the area. I know this is not true but do others get this impression from listening/observing/reading literature from w
