I presume "Fellas" is supposed to mean the females as well--or haven't you decided to leave us behind also? I hope you find good friends to support you. Best Wishes. :)

About sharing my fruit: My daughter volunteers at the Bishop's Storehouse, about 30 minutes from us. I asked her to please pick up a couple boxes of my fruit, to take with her. :) It feels good to be able to do so.

(The following should help keep me out of trouble.) I planted an orange and lemon tree in my back yard. It gives me great pleasure to be able to share this fruit with my family, neighbors--and even the postman. None of my children live in an area which produces fruit, so we all get to enjoy "what just keeps on giving" in my back yard. :)

"MBLF", in my Daily Newspaper (Dec.22,2021). The article gives reasons why he left: He "rebukes LGBTQ rights stance". Just thought you'd be interested. (Heck, I KNEW you would be.)

Thank you! :-) And a Merry Christmas to you, also. My husband was a very able builder of wooden things, and he made a display for us to put on our porch. It has large, painted wooded candles which are supported by a curved Noel to hold them together. The candles have light bulbs that light up when they are plugged into a light bulb socket that he also created, and which leads to the high p

There wasn't much I could say. And, yes, I did put my hand on her hand, as a jester of support for her, and say "I know, I know", or something to that affect. By the way: There was a room where temple workers could go to either eat the lunch they had prepared for themselves (which sat on a shelf, in a paper bag, with there name on it), or they could buy an already prepared lunch.

Yes in deedie, Pollythinks was once a volunteer at the L.A. Temple. I had several jobs, at different times. One, I sat on the "greeter" bench as women who came in, who may have any questions, could ask me. (Women only, of course.) I was also in charge--even if I was only a woman--of folding cleaned socks into pairs (someone has to do it), at the "lost and found" area w

Lucky me. When it is nighttime and dark outside, I can see the Big Dipper from my high bathroom window, as well as many other stars blinking away for my amusement. (I live in a house-to-house neighborhood, with a street light that automatically turns its-self on at night, at my curb.)

My talented husband made a lovely decoration for our home, using wood he painted appropriately, with NOEL as the theme and which we display on our porch opening where the weather can't get at it.

Personally, I don't want anyone to mess with my brain while I'm in a trance. It's bad enough now, using my brain as-is,let alone someone else monkeying with it. :( And, anyway, how does one find a reputable hypnotherapist? (Let alone how much one has to pay for such a service.)

It's very easy to do this. I have a wonderful WWII recipe that requires no eggs or milk. However, I am now 'lactose' intolerant, so can't make it any more. Oh dear, what to do, what to do. Any suggestions?

I agree. HOWEVER, you can change your response to the past--if you so desire. Start by changing what you are thinking in your mind when a 'hated' subject hits your brain, and change your thinking to something that gives you relief and pleasure. IMO, YOU are in control of YOU! :)

That's a first step in the right direction. If members approve of this "brave" change, good for them.

When I was at BYU, I dated an X-Catholic priest who was also there, and who was looking for a mate. He drove a 2-year old Cadillac, so he must have been payed well for his service as a priest. This also showed to be so, as he took me out to a very nice restaurant for dinner. My being from So. California, I suppose, helped me to be less 'Mormanish' than many of the other girls at the "Y&q

(This story is long before I stopped going to church.) Our ward organist is, by profession, a jazz organ and piano player. Therefore, When she played for us at church, the room really 'rocked'. She has been thus, from her childhood on, a prodigy. She seldum looks at the piano music guide, but instead, looks out at the audience, glances at her fingers once in a while, and smiles at us.

When I was about 5 or 6 years old, my mother took me to the back yard, and pulled a long 'switch' out of the hardened, tall, weeds. As I was well aware of her intentions as to what she was planning to do, I did what I could to protect myself, all the while trying to extract myself from the event. Also, I had made sure to lesson the pain as much as possible, for I had earlier put a book betwee

Interesting. If I remember correctly, paying less was, at the time, but "proving" how carefully the church used the members' money--something of which they were far more generous to themselves.

A young girl (around 8 years old), who lived next door to me, had long dark hair on her legs, so I showed her how to shave it off. I got myself in trouble with her mother for my efforts to "help" her. Also, at that time, it was believed that the hair would grow back even worse than it was before. Che's.

My sincere condolences to you. When my husband passed away, I didn't cry--because he had lived a long and good and healthy life, and we were happily married. Also, much earlier, I noticed an ad in the paper for 4 lots for what I certainly would not be able to afford even one today, and bought them. And yes, at such a time, it was very helpful, financially, too at least not have a heavy f

I really appreciate the fact that my family's motto is, "Live and let live". Several never go to church, but that doesn't put them in an "ignore them" status. They are all good people--and that is what matters. I remember once when my daughter's husband (not LDS) was lectured to by his son (about 7 yrs old), that his father wasn't "worthy", or something like th
